Didn't realize there was such disdain towards them. I just figured their high energy would make them a great act in an environment like roo.
I love Grouplove; I have seen them three times, and they always put on a set full of charisma and energy. They're a lot of fun.
As it was mentioned on the previous page, I am pretty bummed out the Modest Mouse has been ruled out. I had to miss them at Firefly last year to get a good spot for Paul McCartney, and I was hoping Roo this year would give me another opportunity
It would be bomb if we could get any of the following (even thou I know some of these people aren't doing shit right now)
St Vincent Dr Dog the Flaming Lips Hot Chip Hiatus Kaiyote Herbie Hancock Bright Light Social Hour Am & Shawn Lee Jeff Lynne's ELO Brian Wilson's Pet Sounds Jagwar Ma Los Fabulosos Cadillacs Mild High Club OK GO STRFKR Roger Hodgson Youth Lagoon
Oh and Radiohead, Gorillaz, Daft Punk, the Bestles, and Lead Zeppeling

Personal picks:
The Arcs - currently no May or June dates The Flaming Lips - also no June shows listed Schoolboy Q - new album soon? No tour posted. Band of Skulls - No tour posted Dr. Dog J Roddy Walston & The Business Shpongle Elle King Some Wu-Tang off-shoot Willie Sallie Ford Jose James Esperanza Spaulding (so I can finally win her heart)
Looking at the all there's 107 names on the lineup(5 or 6 of those are comedy). I'm wondering if they included the additions in the initial lineup because of the leak. Last year I thought we had less then 100 stage and tent acts and were already at 101 or 102(depending on if touchpants is in comedy or a tent). I don't think it's definite that we get adds
Edit
Outside of Cafe, silent disco DJs, and filling out comedy tent

If you consider Touchpants not in the comedy tent, what do you consider Bridget Everett, Piff the Magic Dragon and the Goddamn Comedy Superjam? Touchpants isn't the only comedy act with musicians.

I don't know anything about Everett. The Magic Dragon guy I thought was a magician. Didn't realize he was musical. And the Comedy super jam, I just assumed from the name and description would be in comedy tent.
If anymore of those acts end up outside of the comedy tent it probably decreases chances of adds even more...

Gotcha Bridget does stand up and in between her bits, she does songs she wrote with a full band. Piff the Magic Dragon is a star from America's Got Talent and is hosting the Goddamn Comedy Superjam which is a show where comedians show up and cover their favorite songs or something like that.

They put Colin Hay in the Comedy Tent a couple of years ago because he tells mildly humorous stories between songs during his sets. I think that if there is a question about someone being in comedy or not, err on the side of comedy.
Seeing magic at roo would be nice visual delight and one that was definitely unexpected.
Is the Amazing Jonathan still a thing? I remember him being funny back in the day.
he had a really wonderful interview with Maron a little while back, well worth listening to. I had no idea how much success he had.
A few years back he was diagnosed with a serious heart condition, which he talks about on Maron. One of those things where he really could go at anytime. I do not believe he performs anymore.

Interesting. I don't do Maron much unless he's got a guest I'm really interested in. I'll have to check it out.
david copperfield was really rude to me during his visit to the god dang pittsburgh zoo when i worked there. also, the man showed up in a cloak and top hat. to the zoo.
Borns and X Ambassadors are basically Grouplove and they're already on the lineup
Neither of those acts sound anything like Grouplove.
It's all that same generic indie pop shit. bands that write one great single specifically so it can be featured in an apple commercial, then can't fill an album's worth of of songs, never have another hit and slowly fade into obscurity

Craig Robinson was in the comedy tent too and his show was just his band performing
But I'd guess Touchpants will play a stage since they seem to be more in the vein of something like Ween

The cloak and top hat are part of the life for a magician. He didn't have to be rude though. We will just hope for Criss Angel if Roo ever decides to book a real magician.

My wife and I have both been on stage with him in Vegas. The tricks were pretty incredible (my wife's we never figured out, but I think it had to do with some wireless/RF trickery). He makes the most douchy faces when he does his tricks. It's kinda funny.

So Brian Wilson seems to have a Bonnaroo sized gap in his tour dates...but he's also playing Nashville in September. Still a chance?
Still a chance? Maybe. But I think it seems unlikely that he'd play in Israel on Wednesday and play one show in TN that weekend after being in Europe for three weeks, before going to the East Coast the following week. On a scale of 1 to 10 I'd rate the likelihood of Brian Wilson playing Bonnaroo 2016 a solid .
