Whether it's your first Bonnaroo or you’re a music festival veteran, we welcome you to Inforoo.
Here you'll find info about artists, rumors, camping tips, and the infamous Roo Clues. Have a look around then create an account and join in the fun. See you at Bonnaroo!!
I give Hangout more credit than Forecastle, Firefly, or Shaky Knees sadly. Grimes & Courtney Barnett are both in the Inforoo albums of the year Final Four. Run the Jewels and The Wailers aren't bad bookings either.
JazzFest > Coachella > Shaky Knees > Wanee > Forecastle > Levitation > Euphoria > Okeechobee > Sasquatch > Roo (only this high because of Dead and Co.) > Mountain Jam > Firefly > Gov Ball > Boston > Hangout
Expect Newport/ Osheaga / Panorama / Lolla / Peach to all end in my top 6 or 7.

Jabco texted me earlier not understanding the hate. I don't either. I don't wade into Bonnaroo threads here very often, and I rarely read them. But people were hating on the sneak release, and I think it's actually 50/50. There is a ton of shit I could care less about, but I could make an outrageous weekend out of:
Pearl Jam 2 sets Dead & Co Griz Papadosio J Cole Ween Big Grams Band of Horses Les Claypool's Lennon thing Floss RL Clutch Lamb of God Adventure Club Vince Staples Lettuce Keys N Krates Hundred Waters
And if LCD, Haim, Tame Impala and some other stuff ends up being good, it could be a nice rebound year. I might even go and had no plans on doing so prior. Also, Touchpants comedy/jam thing might be cool to see.

To answer, for shit I'm going to I'm happiest with Jazzfest and Euphoria so far. Buku is weaker than usual, Hangout went Top 40. Waka is out. Other lineups are decent around the country.

Because most of what you listed isn't good.
That's your opinion. Sometimes I agree with you, sometimes not. But I think you're full of shit. Some pop (edit meant rap) Some EDM. Some rock. Some jam. And not the worst of any of those. What's specifically not good?

We're on a site dedicated to what I once considered the crown jewel of festivals based on the combination of the lineups, the scale and the vibes. It's the 15th anniversary of said amazing festival so the expectations are even higher than normal and we got this lineup. That's why I'm very disappointed.
2015 | Fleetwood Mac, Father John Misty, Bleachers, Wussy, Walk the Moon (x2), The Black Keys, Kacey Musgraves, Old Crow Medicine Show, The Avett Brothers, Shakey Graves, twenty one pilots (unfortunately), The Front Bottoms, Snoop Dogg, The Rolling Stones, Future Islands, alt-J, Courtney Barnett, The Gaslight Anthem, Com Truise, Girl Talk, Run the Jewels, Modest Mouse, Kendrick Lamar, Danny Brown, Broods, Brandon Flowers, Sam Smith, Goo Goo Dolls

It's all just bubble gum pop trash that rich college kids will go to on their parents' dime.
I went VIP last year and didn't find it to be all that. I went 2012, and it was great. 2015 seemed like a frat party on the grounds Imho. There were some great shows, but I found it to be overall pretty ho hum.

There's like 2 fucking artists that could be considered "bubble gum pop" on that list. Loosen up brotha.

I hear you. I see that more in the Ellie Goulding, Macklemore, Death Cab, Chainsmokers portion of the lineup. And admittedly there is a bunch of that (to me) I would t waste my time with. So if someone didn't like shit like Lettuce or PapaD or Griz, then I guess it's kind of a double whammy. Imho the headliners are as good as it's been since 12, though overall 12 and probably 13 had better overall lineups.

I feel you bro. Too many non-chill dicks on here just don't get how important dem #vibez are.
I spend half my time here just trying to explain what kind of impact positivity and #vibez have and it's like pissing in the wind. These jagoffs are all like "but what about the music?" and I'm like fucking chill bros, the #vibez will make up the difference and then some.

Even if I liked all of those bands, that's not 4 days worth of music + late nights. After inevitable conflicts you could fit 90% of those bands in on 2 days.
Friday and Saturday at Coachella EACH have more acts I'm into than that.

FOH, Yazzfest vibes >>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Roo vibes
Old heads, nola locals, experienced non-jaded vets & international partiers versus custies, n00bs, cops, ripoff artists & HS/college kids "finding themselves." Even the drunk jackasses at Yazzfest are less annoying than the drunken chads of Roo.
I have a great time anywhere I go but Roo doesn't come close in the cool vibes quotient of Yazzfest.
Also, Levitation is 1000x more chill than Bonnaroo. Have you been before?

I like a lot of that Coachella lineup especially the rap, metal and hardcore. I know some of the rock bands and some of the DJ's. I don't know about half that lineup though, so I wouldn't be qualified to comment much on Coachella. Bonnaroo doesn't have 3 1/2 or 4 straight days, but I like the lineup over last year's.
The problem is that there are too many people who just settle for this shit. Like sure, I could probably scrape together 5-10 acts and try and make a weekend out of it, but I'd prefer to hold onto my money. After conflicts my list would probably be knocked down to half and I'm not willing to drop 1000 bucks on a few acts I could see locally.
