When we started dating my now wife admitted she liked the song "Cumbersome" by Seven Mary Three and eight years later I still regularly give her shit for it.
My wife owns a Creed album. I make her keep it and the Phil Collins segregated from the rest of our mp3 collection.
I want to see Pearl Jam, Haim, Grace Potter, Claypool-Lennon, and Nathaniel Rateliff on Saturday for sure. I also want to see Chris Stapleton and Adventure Club if they fit my mood and schedule. That's 5 concerts for sure and 2 more probables in a day. I'll never complain when I see Pearl Jam and 4 other awesome bands in a single day. Maybe other people here have different taste than me...
Also, I keep seeing people complain about Third Eye Blind. Some of you may hate them, but they're still one of the most liked bands on Bonnaroo.com and a staple of 90s music. I will absolutely be seeing them for the nostalgia. Plus, their new album isn't half bad.
This lineup is bad and the day by day breakdown has only made it worse. Your opinions are wrong.

TERRIBLE. EVERYTHING'S A MESS!
Did you just quote yourself and then give yourself a thumbs up, courtesy of the Don? Are you suggesting that they build a wall around Bonnaroo and not let anyone in?
I love Bonnaroo... I love music... I don't hate a lot of things... I don't think I fit in...
Nah you fit in. While I agree with a lot of the criticism of this years lineup it doesn't mean I'm not going to have a great time and see some great music at Bonnaroo 2016. You'll have a great time too.

"Are you suggesting that they build a wall around Bonnaroo and not let anyone in?" What if I told you there was already a wall around Bonnaroo's soul.....

I'd say you're probably higher than I am drunk...
Except for my lack of self-quoting previously. Yes. Probably yes.

I'm ready to see the actual schedule now so I know what to get excited for. Hoping that the conflicts are at least somewhat reasonable and they don't make as many changes as they did last year....

I hope they're not bad but I already have a gut feeling Friday is going to be brutal with conflicts.

It is and there's no way to really avoid that...but as long as it's somewhat reasonable that'd be nice. Like not having similar genres play at the same time. I remember the first "draft" of the schedule last year was infuriating not just because of conflicts, but because the schedule itself made no sense. I'm already relieved I'll be able to see Tame Impala and Tyler on Friday...I'll probably see FIDLAR and Vince Staples no matter what (unless they conflicted which would be dumb) but it's LCD Soundsystem, M83, and CHVRCHES that are all in question.

Couldn't agree more. My biggest fear is m83 or tame have semi conflicts with LCD. Last years schedule was definitely interesting to say the least. I'd love to be able to see griz and Tyler too but m83, tame, and LCD are my must sees.

Yeah I wanna dance my ass off to "All My Friends" and then still have a little time to make it over to the Which Stage (where I assume Tame Impala will be playing) before that stage gets way too overcrowded to enjoy the show. If there was at least 30 minutes in between LCD and Tame Impala that'd be nice....but I know that might not happen.

I thought last years schedule was amazing outside of mmj/atomic bomb. There were onky so many good acts last year, but if you wanted you could see full sets from temples, courtney, jungle, king gizz, umo, sylvan esso, atmosphere, tears for fears, kendrick, rtj/ewf, flyo, woods, jamie xx. Mmj/atomic, slayer, dangelo, spoon, caribou... And im missing a couple. I couldnt believe it

Oh yeah they definitly fixed it up a bit. The initial schedule was horrible, then they kept making changes seemingly every other day. That sucked. I feel bad for everyone that missed Slayer because of the time change. Friday night was pretty brutal on me last year with having to miss Tears For Fears, EW&F, and Run the Jewels. But I did see Flying Lotus and Kendrick Lamar on the same night so it was still pretty incredible. That's what I feel like Friday will be like this year, there's going to be a lot that I miss, but the stuff that I do see will still be awesome.
there was a point during last year's scheduling stir-fry where i was going to be seeing the entire sets of both onyeabor and MMJ. I did not end up seeing any MMJ. way too much tinkering

Why has everyone dismissed the fact that Tame could play late night What like deadmau5 last year? That would actually explain why they included that they would be a late night on the initial lineup. I agree that Which makes more sense but I wouldn't be surprised.

Last year they announced deadmau5 playing the what when they announced all of the other late nights. Tame impala late night what would be a big deal obviously. I'm just assuming they would have announced that with all the other late nights.

Generally speaking I don't have an issue with Bonnaroo or any music festival adjusting a schedule after it's been released.
For example, if it turns out an act is way more popular than Bonnaroo thought it was going to be, it's sensible to move them from a tent to a stage (I think this happened with EWF last year). So if once the schedule is out another few thousand people add an act to their schedule, it makes sense that Bonnaroo would shift them to a larger stage.
Then there are social media complaints about an act conflicting with another act. The only problem with using these complaints as a basis for a schedule change is you will inevitably cause another conflict, especially if you are dealing with those precious few hours before the headliner when, no matter how you schedule, conflicts will be legion.
Having said that, Bonnaroo does have a knack for creating terrible and avoidable conflicts.
My big issue with schedule changes is changes made closer to Bonnaroo, particularly once the paper schedule has already been printed. The Slayer change last year screwed a lot of fans out of seeing a great show. I don't use the paper schedule, usually I print a clashfinder and laminate it because its more readable, but the vast majority of Bonnaroo attendees aren't as obsessive as we are, constantly checking the schedule for changes in the days leading up to the festival. I'm sure there are plenty who don't even look at the schedule until they arrive.

I put tame impala on what in my mock, but that was because I was using last year's schedule at a template. But after making the mock, I thought it worked pretty well.

I won't be surprised/shocked as most on here if Tame plays What. I think you will either see Tame on What and The Chainsmokers on Which or Tame at Which and The Chainsmokers in a tent. Seems like putting the *late night beside Tame Impala on the poster either indicated that they are to the schedule what Deadmau5 was last year or that they are the only LN act on a stage altogether.
