Hey buds as seen in the title this is my first year at Bonnaroo and I'm hella excited. Now I've been reading up on what to bring and what not but i have a few more questions that I've only seen kind of vague answers for. 1. Where would be good hiding spots for those ya know "extras" we're bringing 2. Is smoking on my camp site a good idea? 3. What events/places would you recommend I see for sure 4. And finally is it a good idea to go wednesday or thursday

Narcs read our site to find this out too.
2. Is smoking on my camp site a good idea?
Sure. Bring all the cigarettes you want. They are really expensive at the store.
3. What events/places would you recommend I see for sure
Music. Catch the music.
4. And finally is it a good idea to go wednesday or thursday

As for your first question, that is something that you are going to have to figure out on your own and if you are willing to take that risk. I do go VIP and can't go Wednesday, but if that was an option I would be all about that life.
As for other things to do, I am all about lists and these are the ones that were on mine last year (and were recommended from others):
Make with the friendly to the neighbors Brooers Tent Don't miss acts you MUST see; even if it means splitting up Don't stay in tent all day, so much to see in Centeroo Late Nights are a must Ferris Wheel If MMJ is playing see them (duh) Meet pondo ROCKS - viking hat and large clock around his neck. front row/pit Dancing with random people Brunch Silent Disco
Food David Bowie pizza – Pie for the People $1 Grilled Cheese on Shakedown - we never found this, it is on the 2016 to-do list again. Amish Donuts Pretzels (chicken salad sandwich on pretzel bun) Outback Kate’s Mambo combo Gepetto’s frozen mocha Wonder Waffle King of Pops Praters’s Roti Rolls – Thurman Murman

what you have to look out for is the security horses. for every bonnaroo attendee there will be 3 (three) horses. do not interact with the horses. do not walk a path with a horse on one side and a ditch on the other. particularly when it gets dark watch out for horses. if you hear comingled human/horse screaming do not run towards the screams, it's already too late and you cannot assist. run away from the direction of the comingled human/horse screaming.

DO NOT – Rolling Oven DO NOT- BaconLand
You KNOW I am a nerd. You should have seen my campmates faces when I brought out the printed-at-home schedule, the huge ass map and my music nerd list.

Doesn't pretty much everyone bring a hard copy of the schedule and map w them?? This doesn't seem out of the norm to me
Considering you've found the need to respond to my threads as if you are threatened by me I offer you some peace my confused counterpart. May you find peace in your restless soul.

Apparently not one that was posted on Inforoo with all the correct time schedules since Bonnaroo can't ever get that right. They would have missed Slayer if it wasn't for my fancy schedule.
The Hamaggedon/BaconLand thing is sad. $10 (or more, didn't even look last year) for 4 tiny pieces of undercooked bacon? GTFO.
That Rolling Oven pizza food truck was pretty lack luster too. I wouldn't call it bad, but there's zero reason to wait in line to give them $10 for an average pizza when there are much better choices steps away.
I really wish they'd bring back that one wood fired pizza guy that used to be in between the Which/Comedy area. Now that was a good pizza.

I'd be shocked if more than 25% of attendees bring their own printed out schedule, and that's probably a pretty high estimate.

This guy is at my local farmers market every Sunday. His pizza is AWESOME. We talked about Bonnaroo for a super long time one day when he spotted me wearing a Roo shirt.

Vieux where do you get the chicken salad pretzel bun combo??? I can't believe I have missed this the last couple of years!
I would also add Gastropod to the list of amazing food, best burgers on the farm easily.
It was at the pretzel place in 2014 but unfortunately they didn't have it last year. I went and harassed them about it...twice. I have kept in on the list in the hope that it comes back.

I got one in 2014 at the Amish Donut stand off of Shakedown. I didn't see them on Shakedown last year though. the stand in centeroo only does donuts.... But the one in the campgrounds did sandwiches.

Sign of a Tru 'Roo Pro is a schedule from home. I'm cheap though and just write down what shows I wanna see in a notebook. Cheers to y'all who come Thursday and get the most up to date schedule fer the rest of us!
No one has mentioned that they're only a dollar if you buy one at a time, though. Order two and they'll charge you $3. Which is still cheap.
And the $1 garlic grilled cheese I believe went up to $2 last year, but I could be crazy. And yes, to find the garlic grilled cheese eatery exit Centeroo through the arch and hang right. It's usually close to the POD 3 balloon on Shakedown Street. Maybe between the Miller Lite Bar and the POD balloon.
$1 Grilled Cheese on Shakedown - we never found this, it is on the 2016 to-do list again. Amish Donuts and Pretzels ... DO NOT – Rolling Oven DO NOT- BaconLand
Everyone is on the money here, with one glaring omission: Last year on Sunday, the last day of my 6th Roo, I waited in line for quite a while for an Amish pretzel near What for the first time. Holy crap, totally worth the wait, and definitely something I will get again - best pretzel ever. The $2 garlic grilled cheese is also worth it for something cheap and simple, even if the price jumped 100% from years past. Some of us are also partial to Spicy Pie pizza, and my favorite Roo food is the pesto mozzadilla.
And for okaybrochill: 1. Your car WILL be searched, just a question of how thoroughly, and they DO profile based on age and appearance. So hide it REALLY well somehow, bring money instead, or just do without. Anyone can stay occupied there without "stuff," especially a first-timer. 2. Be aware of your surroundings, at least introduce yourself to your neighbors so they know you're no harm, and you'll probably be fine. Laws still technically apply though, and some people get busted. 3. Ditto on the music. Familiarize yourselves with the map and layout and you can easily see all of Centeroo and be able to find the stage or tent you are looking for. 4. Whatever works for you, plenty of people do both. My group has a long drive so even though going on Wednesday makes the whole trip longer, it lets us get camp set up and whatnot. Wednesday night we just relax and drink a few and get excited, then we wake up rested and energized. If we lived within a couple hours we'd go Thursday, for sure. 5. Read all you can here, bring sunscreen, drink water, apply sunscreen regularly, drink more water, and don't forget to find some shade.
The thing that I think gets under-mentioned in the whole Wednesday v Thursday thing is that it tends to be really hot and sweaty there. Arriving Wednesday evening allows you to set up in the cool of the evening instead of burning in the sun with your eyes stinging from the sweat pouring into them.

Same thing happened with Gastropod last year. For whatever reason they didn't show and I was extremely upset, I must have gotten their Royal about 5 times in '14. No shame in my horrible eating, especially for Roo haha.
F me, I quit America x1000 what you said about the pesto mozzadilla being the best thing food wise on the farm. Nothing beats that at 3-4 am when you are heading back to camp. Its at the same place as the now two dollar grilled cheese for anyone who wants one. I think they are 6 bucks but money well spent.
