Just a joke, since Phish started off as a Grateful Dead cover band. At least that's what someone in the lot told me.
Dead was an influence, but they didn't start as a dead cover band. They do play covers but after Billy Joel talked shit about their covers they didn't play any during their most recent NYE run probably to mock that his setlists are almost always the same
Are you trying to tell me a Phish fan lied to me? For Shame!

Same likelihood of a Phish fan lying to you as a fan of any other band. Every band has bad/misinformed fans
Just catching up to the more recent picks, and I see that newcomer pfunk took both of my next two choices back to back. Curses! But I applaud you for your excellent taste.
Just wanna let y'all know I'm headed up to sedona this weekend. Im only gonna be around to make picks in the evening tomorrow, and late afternoon Sunday. Sorry if that means extra waiting.

u could send cdevaney your draft board and he could select the highest available for you when you're up
Imma contest parliament funkadelic. Despite becoming a homogenized collective in later years, and George Clinton, they started as two separate bands, and had pretty different styles early on and separate releases. Separate labels even. One or t'other.

Or somebody else that isn't playing so that I don't snake your picks.

Eh, it's been a band for 30 years. I would say Parliament Funkadelic is a band, and Funkadelic is also a (probably better) band.
So since they consolidated in 1980, do you get access to their discographies from the 70's (which were much better than their albums in the 80s?) I'm not arguing they aren't a singular group now, but parliament didnt make Maggot brain and Funkadelic did not put out up for the down stroke. I think getting credit for both of those albums that were produced before they were consolidated is a bit tenuous

Perhaps it's the ex-Bostonian in me, but I'm thinking of some sprite-like creatures. The kind of band that's your favourite band's favourite band. They're pretty gigantic and I la la love them....
