I don't want to keep on picking rock bands. There a plenty of good ones such as Rush and Police but I want some variety in my lineup and I won't be picking for a whileeeee again. Its Tricky has to one of my greatest childhood songs (thank you SSX: Tricky)

Just a joke, since Phish started off as a Grateful Dead cover band. At least that's what someone in the lot told me.
Dead was an influence, but they didn't start as a dead cover band. They do play covers but after Billy Joel talked shit about their covers they didn't play any during their most recent NYE run probably to mock that his setlists are almost always the same

Quick Summary:
So apparently Billy Joel made some snide off-hand comment to the MSG staff about Phish having booked MSG for new years. I guess the story goes that he tried to book it in October and was told that Phish had it on lock. And his response was something to the effect of them being a "no talent cover band".
So, now we have Tom Marshall's tweet about 4 nights of all originals, no covers, and no repeats telling Billy to stick that in his piano-man jar.
