Decided to work on a list of acts people might not be aware are eligible, cause a list of eligible acts would be massive. This is what I got so far, let me know if you disagree
We'll see what happens. Only has three posts and hasn't logged in since this one.
If he doesn't show in 24 hours can I steal his spot? I noticed the thread too late
I'll leave it to the group. Technically, it would be snowman's turn and he could show up at any time to make his posts. That seems stupid, though. The fact that he hasn't logged in since before the game started makes it seem likely he won't show up.
What does everyone else think? (Feel free to PM me if you'd feel more comfortable.)

I have no issue with bacon jumping in if the next pick is a no-show.
Would you all mind if I stole your thunder and started another one of these? I'd want twenty again so the results were similar to this one, though twelve or fifteen might work out better.
Feel free. My hope was that this would be fun and we could do other drafts but there's no reason not to have multiple ones going on at once, I guess.
So wait, Nine Inch Nails isn't considered a band? that's dumb...
I had never really researched it. I assumed that he had steady members in the band, for the most part, but I guess he does a different band for each tour.
Listen, I really was just trying to make this fun. I didn't think that the whole concept of what is a band and what is not a band is that confusing but apparently it's an insurmountable intellectual hurdle. Should we just lock this bad boy up and have somebody else start one of these up from scratch with a better premise and better rules than the ones that have been in place since this thing started?

Woah man, put some brakes on. No one is suggesting locking this up, and I don't believe anyone has been overly negative about this.

Lol! There's been some disagreements but that's part of starting something new, we should continue. That's for doing this cdevaney

we should just set up some rules about solo bands from here forward and leave it at that. and even though 24 hours hasn't come into play quite yet that doesnt mean it won't become very common later. what if the person with the 20th pick goes away? then their back to back picks take up 2 days.
and i think it should be pretty clear who is a solo artist and who is a band. Maybe we need to appoint a non drafting commish to make such distinctions as we move forward?
Sorry. I'm having a crap day and this is stressing me out.
I'll go by whatever the group wants to do as far as the time between picks. I know that it's not too unreasonable for someone to spend twenty-four hours away from this forum but if you all agree to something different, that's fine by me.
Under normal circumstances I would say give someone their full time to pick, but it seems like this person is not coming back on account of them not logging in so I'm cool with letting Bacon in. 24 hours is a long time to be between picks but no one ever takes that long so outside of this one person who seems to not be coming back at all i think the time frame is fair

I would be really mad if we stopped right now with how emotionally invested I am. You're idea is dope and it's fun, just having some discussion which is what these boards is for!
I still really love this idea. Of course there would be some misunderstandings about the rules and whatnot but I feel like we've already sorted out a lot of the kinks. For the time being, I would say whoever has picked Prince/Jimi Hendrix let them have them, but I think we all agree that David Bowie is just David Bowie for the most part and it should just kind of be a courtesy to those that had early picks and didn't get a fair shot at him to leave him off the board. In the future however, I do think it'd be cool to just select anybody and everybody: solo, duo, trio, or Ed Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeroes with 20 people onstage. As far as how long someone is on the clock, I think 24 is fair since the majority of us are on here long before that time us up, but sometime life happens and I doubt Inforoo is anybody's number one priority in life. Maybe next time we get a verification from each individual before we start? Make sure everyone knows the draft order and when they should expect to log in and make their pick. If you miss a pick we leave a N/A there and move on.
I think since we started without solo acts, we should continue without them. I don't agree with the rule overall but since we've already started, I think we should continue without changing things. Less mess that way. I also will be really upset if someone picks Waka Flocka Flame before me, and I don't want to see that happen.

We should do this in August and draft bands that will appear on the Coachella/Roo/Lolla/Gov Ball 2017 lineups. You get points based on billing. Winner gets to punch Phi in the stomach.

I think somebody mentioned something like this earlier. It'd be a lot of fun.

That limits the band selection to much
Maybe throw Glasto and Primavera in for more headliner variety.

We could do this, and that N/A will remain their until the end of the round, and if they come back in the middle of someones turn, we can allow the person whose turn it is to finish picking and let the N/A person pick their artist at that point. If they don't come back though, they got Flosstradamus
