What time do people show up on Thursday am? It seems to me that people are lining up well before 7 am. Is much of that happening? I'm in an rv, thinking of showing up around 4-5 am.

My group meet up at the Starbucks before 7am and we all caravan in together usually shortly after 7am. VIP goes in pretty quickly. You can show up at 4-5am but they won't let you in until 7am.

We strolled in RV at 11 am on Thursday. Two people in line. It was cake.

We arrived at about 7:45 AM last year and got the most baller camping spot in VIP... Literally right next to the big hospitality tent. But that was for camping, not RVs. Don't think we'll get as lucky this year.
So, after looking at the map -- it seems that VIP lost the second entrance near the What Stage with the loss of Pod 1 this year. Not cool. Anyone who camps in that corner will have a pretty long bathroom walk unfortunately.
If you go by that map there are only showers in VIP and nowhere else on the farm!
Which we know is inaccurate due to the email that they sent on June 1st that reads:
Showers are operated and cleaned by our very own shower fairies during hours of operations: Wednesday from 9 pm - 12 am at PODs 1, 3 and 10, and at all PODS from 6 am - 2 am on Thursday - Sunday, and 6 am - 11 am on Monday. Showers cost $10 during peak hours (daily between 6 am - 2 pm and 6 pm - 10 pm) and thanks to our friends at KOHLER® we offer $5 “happy hours” during off-peak hours (daily from 2 pm - 6 pm and 10 pm - 2 am).
My main question is what does one use a shower for at Roo? Lol! I took one last year for the first time and that's only cause we went VIP and they were free! Water and Baby wipes it is this year for the steerage that is GA

I personally don't shower everyday when I am home but at Roo I shower everyday. I have showered at all different hours, but I enjoy it the most in the afternoon when it is balls hot. It isn't about being stinky or dirty either, I find it very refreshing.
My fiancé has done late night shower every Sunday all three years. It's cooled down, cheaper , and she says best to do before the long 8 hour drive back home in a car. Me I just look forward to the 30 min shower when I get home.
This year for the 3rd in a row we drive home on Monday, have 2 days of sleeping in a bed and showering and then do it all again at Firefly!
So I've tried to go for the past few years and something has come up x2. But it's a go this year - VIP RV. I think I pretty much know the plan but I can't figure out if they are so strict that I am going to have to put my pickled bloody mary beans in a plastic jar, or can I keep it in the RV fridge? I'm really stressed out about this..... martini olives too. I need a drink.
And how hard is it to leave camp in a small RV, go get some more diesel fuel for the Generator, and come back in...

Congrats on making it back.
BTW, LOVE the Morgus the Magnificent avatar. I love him so much, I actually have a signed certificate from him making me a member of something. I don't remember exactly what it is because I got it when I was like 13.

I always re-package to plastic if I have anything glass. Pickles, Whiskey- those kind of things. Of course, rules are meant to be broken; hide stuff well enough- no one knows.
Typically it is just- do you have any glass? Nope, and you are good.
Now, if you have a car- then getting in/out is doable. It would be a hassle to get the RV in/out IMO. Not sure if it is even possible. I would bring extra fuel with so you don't have to get out.

Returning to VIP this year, and bringing Mrs. RoRo and a couple we know from home. Can't wait to get back. Morning sound checks are the ideal alarm clock.
Unfortunately NO! We are taking the year off given a busy schedule with the fam. We will be there in spirit though. And are currently getting things together for a NONaroo party on Saturday to watch streams with friends. Have a blast!!!

Our car was so full last year, when didn't even attempt to take anything out. They just asked if we had any glass.

Quick question, My group has 3 VIP parking passes. Would it be possible to carpool in one vehicle and also claim our 3 VIP camping spots? We're trying to maximize our space and I'm trying to avoid the hassle of driving 3 vehicles in if we don't have to. Many thanks to whomever responds!

My group has a car of 4 that have 2 VIP parking passes and we are going to get them to give us the extra spot.

I had to fight for the extra spot last year, it was not pretty. But we are trying again this year. Bennie Roo specifically said in my email that with two passes you get two spots, even with one car.

Exactly. I will use that. I told my group when we roll in, have the two jump out and snag the first spot and then have the other two park next to them. We have TWO parking passes, there is no reason we can't have TWO spots.

I'm hoping it won't be such a struggle this year since it's not sold out. Though I think they will just upgrade more GA people to fill it up.
