It was lacking as far as I could tell in my cursory glance and half hearted scroll. Perhaps there is another one buried at the bottom of page one or perhaps even cast off to the netherworld of page 2...who knows.
Let the discussion begin.
Anyone pony up for some Glamping action? We were on the fence but decided against. I can step up our gear big time for 3/4 of the cost. So that is what I am doing. But I will say I am a year or two away from going for that pre setup AC'd tent option. Maybe one year depending on how my upgrades work out this year
Just looking to start up the 2016 thread since one had not fired up yet. So whom ever is going VIP can mingle. Was inquiring about others camping situations hoping to start some back and forth. Perhaps others will chime in with that or their own questions...its really wide open right now.
I am sure at some point a group will form up to go in at the same time...others to meet up once set up. The options for directions this thing can go are limitless.
We are doing VIP, first time doing Roo all together so we chose to do it VIP style. We didn't go with the pre set-up glamping option, although that would be spectacular, we figured the VIP option itself was nice enough, plus I got enough gear to keep us comfortable. Excited to visit the farm for the first time this year. We are planning a mini-trip to Nashville before the fest for a couple nights to explore around town.

Right on! We are going to get down a few days early as well. Have some family and wanna make a few stops around the central TN area. Most likely a stop at 3rd Man in Nashville and thinking about taking the kid to the Zoo while we are at it.
And wow, you're like a walking, talking infomercial to turn people away from Pearl Jam and Ohio State, aren't you? Before you started posting here I quite liked Pearl Jam and was indifferent towards OSU, now I find myself wishing that Eddie Vedder falls down a mine shaft or that Columbus is infested with locusts
VIP second year in a row. Last year we were in between both inforoo groups. I love waking up to sound checks! And LD, I showered daily last year.
There are two Inforoo groups? There is Sparklefart and everybody else.
There's sparklefart, and then the group with bunny, dreaming tree, druid and them (I don't remember who else) and we were across the fire line from the latter and sparklefart was two rows behind us.

Yeah man! TMR is on the list of things to check out for sure! You bringing your kid to Roo? We got a 6yr old son and 12yr old daughter, both of who would be miserable the entire time so they are staying with Grandma Dukes.
BO is for the peasantry in General Admission. Us VIP folk (well, I was in 2012) can and will do better - showers at least twice during the weekend.
Last year I started a new personal tradition where I'd jump in a shower when we were walking/stumbling back from Centeroo each night at 4 a.m. I never had any lines and plenty of hot water. I also seemed to sleep better. It was perfect. ...
Anyone ever try out the yoga sessions? Worth checking out?
Was really, really crowded every time I tried to check it out last year. Also, was way too hot for me to want to try it lol because I think, as I recall, there was a canopy/tent and only the about 50 people could fit underneath it, the rest had to do it in the sun. Looked really fun. I might not be remembering right, but I'm pretty sure that's how it went.

You are remembering it right. Two of the ladies in our group did it one day, and they said a big drawback was having to do it underneath the hot sun. They do it in the morning, at least, so it's not yet a gazillion degrees.
If you plan to bring a generator, make sure that it is not in plain sight at check in. We had ours confiscated at the gate last year, and we were not prepared. Very disappointed since we bought a quite one just for the farm. We got it back the next day by telling them we were taking it home. We were told that 7 were confiscated in VIP. I sent an email asking if they were allowed or not and never got a reply.

If it was a big gen then they do have a rule on over 4kw...but a small camping one they were overreaching.
From the you can't bring in list "Gas-powered generators (larger than 4KW)"
So in theory anything smaller should be fine. To be safe I will have that page of the site pulled up and ready.

We were within guidelines and tried to show them on our phone. They didn't care....Just doing what they were told to do. We talked to a supervisor, he said this year we were not allowed to bring generators. That's why I sent an email to get clarification. Our mistake was rolling in with it on top of our vehicle. We saw several generators throughout VIP, so I know some had no issues.

Yea the kiddo is coming along as well. Will be his 2nd Roo and 4th fest overall and he turns 4 in June. We just roll with things as far as little man is concerned. We each ID anything that is must see and make sure the other can goto that for the non main stage acts. Main stage stuff we post up back up on the hill with him and he could run in circles and didn't bother anyone Hes pretty cool to just see whats shakin'.
We were right around some Inforoo folks last time we went VIP. All of you folks were great by the way and no one seemed put out that we had a little one there. I was told we we much more reasonable than a car load of raging bros as neighbors...so we have that going for us
My kid hates going to festivals. I dragged him to all of them until he was about 7 and begged me to stop. He rolls his eyes whenever I ask him if he wants to go to an all age show or to a festival now. Breaks my heart.
We will miss you guys in VIP this year! We are headed to Groop this year as the now freshly minted Fiance and I have a wedding to pay for! Really wish we could do VIP this year! Like Vieux stated waking up to sound check sis AMAZING! If anyone wants to give us a Pre Wedding present any donations towards a VIP package would be appreciated!
