not really sure if this impresses anyone here, but in terms of new artists, i saw the lineup announcement memo that they were told to read on BMR, and two acts were on there that have not been announced: Bryson Tiller and Chet Faker. Don't think either of those are strong enough to headline, but you never know with Sloss.
I cannot believe they have Ray LaMontagne closing out the whole festival...I can't help but wonder if they thought they could land one more big one and it fell through? Also sucks that they have Fitz and the Struts playing at the same time as well as Shovels & Rope playing at the same time as White Denim....but that's my only two big conflicts....guess I'll have to dig into Ray's new album, or dig more into Ghostland Observatory....
1) Is the venue in the middle of nowhere or will there be a bar or two outside of the venue in case we want a mid day change of scenery? 2) How spread out are the stages? 3) Is it going to cost me 15 dollars a drink to consume alcohol at the festival?

Any input would be appreciated!
1) Sloss Furnaces is relatively close to some breweries/bars/restaurants, definitely within a mile of the fest. 2) The stages aren't that spread out, to be honest. The Shed is a good distance from the two main stages, but the Steam and Blast are right across from each other. Super close. There's usually not bad sound bleed, though. 3) I think wine was about $9 and beer was about $7. Not exactly sure.

Hey ya'll, I'm trying to help a friend sell 4 tickets to Sloss Fest. He's asking $125 per ticket, which is under face value, or if your willing to buy all four, he'll give them to you for $440. If you know anyone who might want these please let me know!

Had a fun time and thought it was a great value. Maybe a little more diversity in the artists next year. Good meeting you Matt. Definitely will come back next year unless the lineup is bad.

Same and same. But yeah, you're a much bigger tool in person than online.
