LCD is at ACL the same weekend and the weekend prior to that. Would that most likely place them as a Sunday closer for this and a Friday act at ACL?
Not sure if the rumors have any basis, but last I read Radiohead were rumored for ACL's Friday. So maybe the reverse of what you said unless LCD announce dates around the fests.
I guess they could drive out between weekends. Thatd be dope honestly to line up w plans I already have during ACL and being able to hit up LCD on a Sunday.
I'm definitely gonna have to do but I think I'm gonna have to wait a couple weeks so I've the extra money necessary to buy the tix. Plus, now I'll be able to go see Vince Staples and Die Antwoord at Lolla instead of camping for LCD!! This is gonna be so dope. So glad Florida finally is getting good fests.
Anyone know if they do single day tickets for this? I might be in the area on a family visit; think I can escape for one day and I have a place to crash in Miami. Would be sick

Yeah, they have in the past. Although if you're looking for just Friday or just Sunday, it might be cheaper to buy the 3 day and sell it after Friday or buy someone's pass after Saturday.
Ok, I've never been, so I was wondering how III Points works... Is it just a bunch of different venues that are all separate or is it connected like a regular festival area or what?

It takes place at Mana Wynwood, a big warehouse that hosts events throughout the year. Last year there were four stages. The "main" stage is inside the warehouse. The stage that hosts bands is outside next to the big warehouse. A smaller stage that hosts a lot of the techno acts is inside a smaller warehouse near those stages, and a fourth stage that has more radio friendly electronic acts is outside near the entrance. This year there will be a fifth stage, but I'm not sure where they will end up putting it.

See you there! I'm really excited for it this year. I've got a heap of must-sees so I'm dreading the conflicts a bit.

I ran into trouble because I apparently have to use a credit card to purchase tix but I don't mess with credit. Tried to use my debit card and it said error. So, I emailed em to see what I can do

Hm, that's odd. I use a credit card for virtually everything, but love getting points.

I get that it's great but I don't like the idea of paying the credit card company for something that I could've just bought straight up in the first place. Mind you, this is coming from someone that kept literally all of their at home and never actually deposited money into a bank to hold until today. And that's not an exaggeration. I literally just put all my money in a bank account for the first time ever earlier today. I'm just weird and like to stay off the grid, so operate almost exclusively in cash
Theres also some cheaper ones roughly in the same area. Theyre all on south beach. The freehand is the famous one (mostly because of the bar), but i did a little more searching and found two within a few blocks of each other for $18 and $25 respectively.
I know hotels are comfortable, but in Miami, especially during IIIPoints, you wont be spending much time there. The beach is right across the street, and the festival runs until (i believe) 3am. Alls I would be looking for is location, proximity, a bed and a shower. An uber will take you to and from wynwood for ~ $10-15 during the night, and public transit (One bus, one train) will take you there for $2.25 a ride, or $35 for a week pass.

Fwiw, I live in Southwest Miami, and am probably gonna stay at a hostel that weekend just so i dont have to make the awful trip to downtown every day. Miami traffic is unbearable.

The banks only make a lot of money if you don't pay on time. If you ever want free flights and hotel nights up the wazoo, credit cards are the way to go. Also, that's kinda nuts. I would hate to have so much cash on me.
