Theres also some cheaper ones roughly in the same area. Theyre all on south beach. The freehand is the famous one (mostly because of the bar), but i did a little more searching and found two within a few blocks of each other for $18 and $25 respectively.
I know hotels are comfortable, but in Miami, especially during IIIPoints, you wont be spending much time there. The beach is right across the street, and the festival runs until (i believe) 3am. Alls I would be looking for is location, proximity, a bed and a shower. An uber will take you to and from wynwood for ~ $10-15 during the night, and public transit (One bus, one train) will take you there for $2.25 a ride, or $35 for a week pass.

Have you stayed at Freehand before?
I have not, but I had one of the most debaucherous nights of my life that wasnt spent at a camping festival in and around their bar.
From what I hear, their amenities are outstanding and the vibe is very energetic. Definitely THE place to be during a festival.

I've booked a room, but I was wondering about a few things.
From what I've read apparently they don't have parking. I'd like to know if the security lockers are standard size or larger (~big enough for a suitcase).
If anyone has stayed there feel free to contribute.

Parking in Miami Beach is painful. My advice is to park your car at someones home for the weekend (via.craigslist) and uber in each day. Itll be cheaper than public parking. The freehand, to my knowledge, does not offer guests parking spaces.

Also, the lockers, I can almost guarantee are not big enough for a suitcase. Leave your valuables (wallet, money, jewelry, etc..) in the locker and other items in the room aside your bunk. If youre really paranoid about getting your clothes raided, buy a cheap locker from CVS and lock it around your suitcase.

So are you saying that I should park my car at someone's house and walk/taxi/uber to Freehand?

Yes. Once youre at the Freehand, you can uber anywhere you realistically want to go. Unless you want to take a trip out to the everglades. The beach is the one part of town that you dont really need a car, and wynwood is close enough so that you can just uber in and out every night (15 mins away unless it's rush hour traffic)
They actually have parking and have coordinated with Lyft to provide $2.50 rides back and forth from Mana. I two days of parking for $40
You're saying that III Points has an official parking lot, right? I saw this on their site:
"Parking in Wynwood is limited. We Recommend taking a Lyft, use the code III Points for potential discounts! If you decide to drive, we have good news! For the first time ever, III Points has an Official Parking Lot! The parking lot is a bit under a mile from the grounds, at 1700 NE 2nd ave, Miami, FL. Our partners at Lyft have been awesome enough to sponsor $2.50 rides to and from the grounds during peak hours. Reserve your parking pass today at squareup.com/store/iiipointsparking and get a discount for planning ahead!"
I need to park near Freehand but this will definitely help some folks out.
Schedule chunks don't do me any good unless I can know what the conflicts are. I feel it'd be a better idea to show horizontal chunks of the schedule so people could see conflicts between different stages. But, whatever, not my job, but it's starting to annoy me

They're just teasing pieces of the schedule right now. The full schedule will be out soon, hold your horses.

I know, it's just rather annoying because these chunks of schedule aren't going to make many people buy a ticket that haven't already. And if they're releasing the chunks, they surely have the whole thing done, so there's no reason not to simply release.
Edit: sorry, just nervous about conflicts and would like to know them to mentally prepare myself for the sadness.
Yes, I pray that this is my biggest complaint with schedule this year. Honestly, I can live with just the hour if there is indeed other great acts after him because I honestly do not expect him to be better than his a Roo show this year.

Anyone who's been have any idea what time LCD and M83 would play? Considering swinging this if I can make it in time for LCD after work Friday then catch M83 early enough to make it back home to Tampa for a few hours sleep before work on Monday.
