But yea, more post rock and ambient music would be awesome. I'd love to see Explosions in the Sky, Sigur Ros, Spiritualized, The Comet is Coming...Definitely more Jazz and cool music like Herbie Hancock.
Honestly I dug the whole electornic/avant garde with pop/rnb aesthetic that was this festival. No doubt I'll be buying an early bird later. Also the local talent (Truevine, Jonny and Sister System, Ms Malta, etc) were amazing and I hope next year you guys branch out from the Boiler Room (which was a great addition to the festival)
Suggestions: Danny Brown Chick Corea (fill in for Herbie) Big Thief Animal Collective Stereolab John Carpenter David Lynch and Angelo Badalamenti doing thought gang or maybe having guests singers doing julee cruise Chromatics Johnny Jewel dj set Jamie XX DMX Mase Gesaefelstein Some sort of Wu Tang (Gza doing Liquid Swords, Gravediggaz, Czarface) Peach (her Boiler Room set is incredible) Virgil Abloh Questlove dj set Tony Allen Pusha T Against All Logic Dave Harrington Spirtualized Big Freedia
Possible Headliners LCD Nine Inch Nails D'angelo Lauryn Hill Solange Anderson Paak Thom Yorke x2 (Band and late night djing) The Roots Run The Jewels
The White Whales Burial Aphex Bjork Orbital The Prodigy Thomas Bangalter or Guy Man doing a dj set Sebastian Madvillainy (with Doom ACTUALLY showing up) Darkside reunion Massive Attack Chemical Bros
I’ve always liked Beach House and think they’re great live, but wouldn’t have much interest in seeing them at a fest. Not the right setting/mindset for their show.
Was going to say just this. Beach House is not a good festival act. But incredible in a quiet, dark, seated venue.

basically any of these get me there regardless of the rest of the lineup.
If you’re gonna book stuff like Beach House and Ty Segall, please bring down Car Seat Headrest. Crazy to think that they’ve been touring like they have for the last three years and never made it down to Miami. Can’t be that pricey either.

I would buy VIP, a shirt, AND tons of $4 bottles of water if this is anything close to what we get for a lineup.
With Poetic being dead and all that would be awful.

Jaar fired everybody and moved to Torino. He’s off the grid. I was with him at club to club but it’s not likely that he does any festivals since he doesn’t have an agent, unless we reach out personally.
Hundred waters tried for Form but no luck. He’s probably waiting for President Trump to leave office.

This is interesting insight, but isn't he doing like a bunch of different things for Rewire next month?
Also how much does Bjork cost? We know Aphex is near 900-million, is she in the ballpark or more?
im guessing that since she did the bjork digital the same year as aphex at DFN, it was an either or situation and they chose the cheaper version of bjork to make it work.
