Very very happy with this overall. Really the only conflict i have is royal blood vs mac demarco. will probably go with royal blood just to keep the energy up and based on how much I like their new single. i had to leave their Bonnaroo 2015 set after like 2 songs cause i thought i was going to die in the heat of the midday Which.
I updated my clash finder, that Phoenix V Gambino is devastating. Honestly might have not bought a ticket if I had known they'd be playing against each other, those were my top 2 for the whole weekend.
he/they '12 - Firefly '13 - Firefly, Made In America '14 - Firefly, Made In America '15 - Mountain Jam (Sunday), Firefly, Pitchfork, Made In America '16 - Boston Calling, Firefly, Osheaga, Made In America, Roots Picnic NYC '17 - Boston Calling, Gov Ball, Firefly (Sunday), Pitchfork, Day For Night '18 - Boston Calling, Mountain Jam, Osheaga '19 - Form, Firefly (Sunday) '22 - Boston Calling, Firefly '24 - Solid Sound, Soundside
This is what I'd more or less imagine? Order of stages (top to bottom) is Main, Big Apple, Honda, Tent
You missed Majid Jordan who I guess would be in the tent from 8:45-9:45.
Both Schoolboy Q and Chance unopposed is just...odd.
oops.. took the screenshot before that add, but yeah.. very odd (especially schoolboy Q) - I wonder if there are any special guests or something along those lines (similar to prophets of rage being in the tent as a secret set)? That would explain why the timeslot isn't there (they'd have to add an artist called "Surprise Guest")

Here is what frustrating to me...
It seemed pretty obvious that it was going to be Chance vs Flume, but I guess despite being different genres both have gotten so popular they didn't want them to directly oppose each other.
So why couldn't they take the same approach with Phoenix vs. Childish? Different genres sure but they're both massively popular and haven't been to NY in years. Instead the second most important time slot of the day, 6:45-8:00, is complete Cheese Act (Marshmello) vs. Novelty Act (wu-tang).
Also - just noticed that the 2017 map is now on the app too. Nothing too specific, but the Honda and Big Apple stages changed locations, and the Honda stage appears to have some type of dome?
Edit: not to read too much into it, but the 2016 Honda Stage and 2017 Big apple Stage (same location) graphics are the same, so I'd think the big apple stage kept the old Honda stage's production, while the big apple stage got a (much needed) revamp. Outside of that, it looks like they added a big liquor area by the entrance (where many food trucks were before), and the Bacardi tent VIP area swapped sides. Lastly, no silent disco.
Heads up: this lists a Mark Ronson x Kevin Parker After Dark show at Output on Fri Jun 2, with presale tix going on sale at 10am. Looks like they're adding another show. I wonder if there will be anymore, given that it says 20+ shows.
so glad gambino and tool got an hour and 45 minutes. wish chance had a little longer.
Unfortunately that doesn't mean shit when it comes to GovBall. Plenty of big acts in the past played for much less than what the schedule said (Phoenix, The Strokes, Black Keys, M83).

Yeah I remember being so excited about a 1hr 45min M83 show and they played for like 45 minutes
Must See 2018 List: 1. Drake 2. The Cure 3. David Byrne 4. King Krule 5. Moses Sumney 6. Dua Lipa 7. Mount Kimbie 8. Perfume Genius 9. Yaeji 10. Big Thief

Yea, glad I didn't feel pressured by those Founders "Limited Ticket" posts.

Well, I'll get to see everything I want on Friday, but I won't have a good spot for any of it except maybe Chano. Blossoms > Francis > Strumbellas > Charles Bradley > Danny Brown > Q > Lorde > Chano
This is my ideal schedule but realistically I'll have to cut a few out
If that Sunday schedule is legit, I'm pretty happy there are virtually no conflicts, other than Royal Blood + Franz Ferdinand, but I'll see RB back at 9:30 Club anyway.
The Saturday undercard actually breaks out pretty nicely too. I'm pumped.

So are we sure Gambino is on the Honda stage and not the Main Stage?
If Gambino is truly up against Phoenix then yes he'll be at the Honda Stage. Phoenix is billed as #1 on Sat so they'll get the main stage.
I've already had a couple friends text me saying they're going to try to sell due to that conflict. What a bummer I really hope the times are just jumbled.

Yeah I was pretty bummed about Phoenix vs Gambino too. Figure Phoenix might come around again before this album cycle is done though. This is Gambinos only show around these parts for the forseeable future. Ill at least start at his show and make my way over to Phoenix half way if I get the itch.

Well there goes my hope of you coming on and saying the app was wrong and it was just a Firefly-like mistake.
They're really going to let Chance and Schoolboy Q **go unopposed**? Kanye didn't even get that lol.
Hoping for that secret show during Schoolboy Q like Prophets last year.
