LD and I made all the separation we needed to make sure the inspector never guessed for the other. LD attacked me on day 1 and I went right back at him. Jimmy does deserve the most credit, but LD and I played off each other perfectly. If you don't believe that, find any post that suggests LD and I could possibly be in cahoots, you'll find the opposite. Then find any relationship between either of us and Thor.
By the way. We got a new drum set tonight. Sorry if I don't respond. I'll be banging out noise until the wee hours and probably late to work tomorrow.

I'm so happy to see you! I was actually worried when you hadn't been around the last day and a half. And really?! You play drums? I've wanted to play for about 20 years... I took 1 lesson when I was about 14... I went with a friend who took weekly bass lessons... It was amazing. Since then, I've just had hands and feet on random items... And a husband who plays guitar... These drums are probably the most exciting thing I have gotten in my adult life. Please, please, please, PM any tips!

I agree with you completely, but you shouldn't shut up a little more. You were really good. There were many quiet townies. And take this as a grain of salt from a lurker of 6 years.

Thor pushing JR into the D1D2 runoff with me and Rummy was the move of the game. It was such a great distancing tactic on top of a Day 1 that went as smoothly as possible for Mafia.

I tried to play like I was town, so ignoring Thor was easy, but also "forced" me to retaliate against LD, who did a marvelous job of creating separation right from the beginning. I did stray from being town slightly by trying to agree with ZIG no matter what, so that if the inspector had my name, they'd guess ZIG at night, I'm not sure why he guessed what he did, but that was horrible luck on Carini for SFA to die right when he guessed him.
I'll freely share this strategy tidbit, because I swear I'll play differently in the next game, regardless of role.

Guessed SFA because his vote for you instead of JR took him out of runoff.
Guessed Jaz because I thought Mike D was mafia, Jaz fit in with my thought pattern plus gut feeling.
Also it is easier to guess we'll if stuff actuallystuff actually happens
Based on your scenario, you can remove the one with Mike D in it. I would also probably remove any combo of Thor and JR since Thor switched his vote to JR during Day 1 to force JR into the runoff when he didn't need to.
Also, I gotta be in the next game. It's easy to be smug when you're Mafia. I'm sure I'll be townie next round and sufficiently embarrass myself like I always do.

I was shocked when I read Jimmy calling you inspector in the thread, Carini. For what it's worth I didn't think you did anything to stick out. Your guesses sucked, of course, but I've never been inspector so I can't really talk.

o Yes my guesses sucked but the only one who interpreted my whack correctly was mafia and town talked him out of the vote so I have to be at least slightly off the hook lol
