yeah i’m pretty stoked about it. it seems like an indoor version of the “insert bank name here” pavillion but with a variable floor. so far roadrunner has really floored me with its bookings though. just unbelievably stacked. shows how AEG really means business now

I just hope tickets are decently priced for the new venue, the Porcupine Tree show prices are kinda nuts but then again I don’t really know who they are
really a big fan of the interior here. giant sinclair
with a main floor that big i wish it stair-stepped a bit more (kinda like house of blues does). looks like 80% of it is all on one even level, which is going to make it tough to see from the back half. regardless, it looks great and i can't wait to check it out
went to Royale tonight for The Midnight (which was incredible btw) and THEY RENOVATED AND GOT RID OF THE ANNOYING STEP UP IN THE MIDDLE!! i never thought i'd see the day, it was amazing. no more looking at the back of everyone's head. Royale instantly went from my second-to-last favorite club venue to my second or third. i can't believe i didn't hear about this or see anything about it on twitter

Curious what you all think about some of the newer venues in Boston. Kind of crazy that the biggest venue changes when I lived in Boston were TTs and Harpers Ferry closing and Sonia opening. Now there's Roadrunner, Big Night Live, Crystal Ballroom, maybe more?

Really enjoy Roadrunner, Big Night Live is super nice as well but has insane drink prices dye to being owned by the same people who own the Grand and Memoire night clubs. Havent checked out Crystal Ballroom yet. Once Somerville died but they book shows at a small place called Rockwell now (which i’ve yet to go to) and last summer and this summer they do shows at Boynton Yards, which is essentially a glorified parking lot, loved seeing shows there though and im excited to see who they can grab for it this year.

How much are they at BNL?
I was at RR for Misch over the weekend. I got a single Jack and Coke and it was 11.50ish. The cup was the size of the little cups you get at a casino when you drink for free. Lol
I was shocked and that was the only one I got haha.
I went to BNL when they first opened and saw Badu, but that was a long time ago and I forget what the drinks were like.

Cool to hear ONCE is back on its feet, I was bummed to see that and Great Scott both close in 2020. Roadrunner sounds like a dream for someone like me who mostly couldn't stand the HoB

I'm very tempted to fly back to visit some friends and see Stereolab! I don't think the date works but its something I think about more than I should
