basically the entire floor and first row of the balconies are Platinum. (third row center was $1,750+fees lol.) i'm sure the SRO areas behind the balcony seating were cheaper, but by the time i got through, all the seats in the 300s were cheapest available at $196+fees so like $230 each, for the worst seats in the place. oh well, i bought a pair. might flip them if the market looks crazy though
just so everyone knows, Fred again.. was glitched yesterday. GA was 77 after fees and today its 42 after fees. So AXS owes me a $35 refund. i emailed them

AXS actually emailed me directly fessing up to the mistake yesterday afternoon. They're automatically refunding, I thought $59.50 was reasonable lol

yeah i'll be there, haven't seen them before so i'm pretty excited. i'm assuming they'll go on at 9:15, based on prior shows posting set times on twitter. the bruins are on at 7 so i'm trying to catch as much of the game as i can (probably at Lulu's) and walk over by like 8:45-9

Wish Hot Chip wasn’t the same night as Gang Of Youths, I’m going to see them at Paradise tomorrow. Will also be at PUP on Tuesday, Spanish Love Songs on Thursday, and The Menzingers on Friday. Big week!
maybe this is an unpopular opinion but i HATE going to shows at Paradise. sure, House of blues feels corporate as hell (it is) but at least now you'll be able to see and have a little room to breathe
Is this venue just gonna be overpriced opportunities to see bands in a smaller venue. Oof
i think this is only the case for their big "grand opening" which apparently spans at least a couple weeks. a lot of the shows later into the fall on their calendar seem normally priced to me and are the right size venue for the band, if not a bit too large actually (coin, gaslight anthem, etc)
Arcade Fire/Beck tickets were a steal, 83 after fees. Rosalia was like 115 after fees here
i was super happy to see GA Floor at $56.50 but then the service fee is freaking 22.75 which is over 40% and seems much higher than "normal" (plus then another 3.00 facility charge)... but yeah, to get floor tickets for under 100 is a win either way, i guess

I don't mind HoB. It's not my favorite, but there's worse in the city. (I don't like the Orpheum.)
HoB is probably where I've seen the most shows over the years.
