Their show at Atwood's on Sat 3/18 is officially sold out, but a number of tickets will be sold at the door. This indie rock supergroup includes current and former members of The Decemberists, Guided By Voices, Stephen Malkmus and the Jicks, and Camper Van Beethoven. They're actually opening for Hallelujah The Hills, who are likely headlining due to their much higher local profile.
Has anyone bought secondary market tickets for TD Garden or other shows via SeatGeek? Is it a legit service with immediate mobile delivery?
How do their fees compare to Ticketmaster?
I saw some Bruce tickets for under $250. I'm probably going to hold off for a few days to see if prices drop more, but that's a price I'm willing to pay. Just wanted to see if anyone here has had any positive or negative experiences buying through the site.

In my experience I've haven't had an issue with them. The fees are just as bad as everyone else. Personally I mostly use Gametime app. There usually the cheapest and price match. Good customer service too. One time I got Sox tix 5 mins before the game. Sender didn't send the tickets over for 20 mins. I complained and within 5 mins I had the best seats available and my money back

SeatGeek is legit, but I haven't bought resale from them before.
It's the ticket service for some pro sports teams.

What concerns me about buying resale through SeatGeek or StubHub is that with Ticketmaster, you know that the site can deliver the tickets to you because they were originally purchased through that site. But, do third party secondary market sites like these hold onto the eTickets and either release them to the buyer (or back to the seller, if unsold) or are you at the mercy of the seller's willingness to go through with the deal, even if you've already paid?
Last year I sold a ticket to some show on Stubhub. Someone bought it the night before, I tried to transfer but there was some technical error. A rep from Stubhub actually called me trying to fix the issue and get the transfer completed in time.
I buy from Stubhub a few times a year and never had a problem. Got a ticket to Remain in Light last Friday from there.
speaking of resale, posted this in the other thread. if anyone got selected for cure presale and can get me a ticket, i’ll pay for the cost of your ticket and double the cost of mine. ironically this anti scalper policy is actually fucking me over way worse than if they just allowed scalping
Cool, thanks. I'll see what both rail and show ticket availability is when they're both available, and then buy both if things look good. (Hopefully, I'll find someone looking to dump their unsold secondary market tickets for Monday night at a low price, so I can see them in a smaller venue much closer to home.)
Springsteen added a second show at Gillette August 24th
Yep, and it's deja vu all over again. MBTA can't/won't say whether they're running a train to the second show (They're providing service for one of the two Ed Sheeran shows, but not the other, so it's by no means a done deal) and face value tickets in the lowest pricing tier are likely to be gone by the time they decide/announce.
I'm kicking myself for not jumping on a resale ticket I saw on Ticketmaster for the Garden show last Fri or Sat at $167 + fees. I mistakenly assumed that prices would drop further as we got closer to the show date, but they didn't. They released additional tickets on Monday, but the for-profit-resellers jumped on them ASAP and they were going for hundreds each.
So, I just have to hope that the tour continues through next year and he opts for Fenway.
So, Breakaway festival now lists their Boston venue on their site. This is so not my cup of tea, but it's great that an EDM festival is coming to Boston for those who like that sort of thing. I checked out the one lineup of theirs which has already been announced, and I actually recognized the names of a couple of the headliners, so there are some big names involved.

I went to their show here last week and I'm pretty sure more than half the crowd was in at least one of the opening bands

Forgot to follow up on my original post but some of the people who walked down with me and my friend to the back entrance literally were in the band! They were great, set was a tad short but I really enjoyed every second of it. There were three openers and the last on, Hooky, was phenomenal.
