Future Teens at Crystal Ballroom on Nov. 15 in a Get To The Gig show. Tickets onsale on Friday.
Judging from the band photo in the post on Twitter/X, they appear to have added a fifth member.
I wonder if that fifth person is just the other name on the lineup, John-Allison Weiss, who i'm unfamiliar with. Either way, love Future Teens so much but i already have shows Nov. 10,12,14,18,19 so i don't know if i can bring myself to add the 15th.

I really enjoyed Fantastic Cat a lot tonight and I was happy when they announced that they were coming back to town soon...until it turned out that the date is Nov 15, which I immediately recognized as the date of the Future Teens show. (I definitely made the right choice tonight. Both Low Cut Connie and Fantastic Cat were great, and I've never been so happy to be disappointed by a setlist as when I checked out the Ted Leo show on Setlist.fm and noticed that he skipped most of my favorite songs in his repertoire, many of which he often performs live.)

I didn't catch Fantastic Cat, was busy eating a burger at Russell House, but yeah LCC was great last night. My headache this morning is less great.
Wow, I was just about to buy a ticket online to the Future Teens show, when I discovered that the $17 face value tickets actually cost $34 on Ticketmaster. 100% markup.
I believe that you can buy Crystal Ballroom tickets at the Somerville Theater box office and I'm in Davis Square multiple times each week, so I'll see if I can pick up a fee-free ticket there today.

Yes you can! And their box office is open whenever they are showing movies, not just one day a week like the Sinclair/Bowery Boston box office

You're probably right. They're also going to be J-A W's backing band in what's being billed as a co-headlining show. I'm guessing that Future Teens (without JAW) will be closing the show, since it's home turf for them.
Thunderstorms with heavy rain on the way tonight and I don't feel like sloshing through the Seaport on the way to the Goose show, so if anyone would like a free ticket (towards the back of the covered pavilion) to tonight's show, DM me with your Ticketmaster email address and it's yours.
I'm also giving away my balcony seat to Peter Gabriel at the Garden tomorrow night. I had hoped for some Gabriel-era Genesis songs in the setlist (imho, the best work either has ever done), but there's not a bit of it and only two songs from the first four solo albums (and I kind of checked out of his music after those albums), so my interest has waned considerably. Again, DM me with the email address I'd need for a LiveNation/Ticketmaster transfer, and it's yours.
Amy Hoffman of Future Teens has another punk-pop-emo band in which vibes replace guitar. It's such a unique sound, that it's worth checking out for the novelty value if nothing else.
This isn't confirmation of anything, but I can't imagine that he'd post this simply to signify that he's planning on catching a Red Sox game next year.
(He's got a two week break in his tour right now and he's a big Hozier fan, who joined Hozier onstage at a recent festival. I won't be surprised at all if it happens again this weekend. This sure beats Peter Wolf mucking up so many Elvis Costello and Bruce Springsteen Boston encores over the years with badly-sung blues.)
I'd say it's 99.9% confirmation of a Fenway show next summer, and I am pumped for it.
Hozier opening would make sense, but I'm hoping for a different Irish singer-songwriter: Dermot Kennedy. Noah opened for Dermot's EU tour this past spring, and Dermot is pretty big here (played 2 nights at MGM in June) so I feel like it would be an easy sell. He also has a younger audience than Hozier, that probably overlaps a lot more with Noah's fanbase. Also, not that it means anything, but Dermot had liked this Fenway post on Instagram within what felt like just a few minutes of it getting posted.

Tell me you hate J. Geils Band without saying you hate J. Geils Band
At least they're not the WORST big rock band from the area (imo that honor goes Aerosmith, and Boston and Godsmack are also worse, so not even in the top 3)
I also nominate Centerfold for unofficial drunk driving anthem of Massachusetts (DISCLAIMER: Drunk driving is bad and I don't even have a car)

I liked their early 80's commercial peak well-enough, but when Peter Wolf comes out for another artist's encore, you're going to be stuck with DA BLOOZE sung by someone who's more of an energetic front man than a great singer. When he comes out, I can't help but wonder what song I couldn't have been hearing in its place that I'm not hearing because he's there.

Aerosmith was GREAT in the 70's, but they should have broken up after Rocks. The last 40-45 years have been nothing special.

Noah is blowing up big time, but the question is whether he can draw 40K on his own or if he needs a solid #2. Nothing's preventing Dermot Kennedy from being the first of three artists to perform at the Fenway show, with a number two who can draw 5-10K on their own.

MGM holds 5k people per show, same number as the Pavilion. Dermot did 2 nights at the former, Hozier is about to do 2 nights at the latter. To be totally fair I think Dermot came close but did not sell out the second show, and i imagine Hozier did sell out both, but still... they're not very different in terms of draw.

I saw both Noah Kahan and Hozier at the Iron Blossom Festival in RVA a few weeks ago. Noah was the headliner on Saturday (Lord Huron sub) and Hozier was the headliner on Sunday (Elle King sub). Noah praised Hozier during his set and then was still in town to come out and do a song during Hozier's set. Both days were sold out (14-15k) and the crowds were singing along to every song during both sets. So, I could see it being a split bill where both play for 90 minutes (Noah's current tour never goes too far past that set length).

Wow, I did not know that. Increasingly, the number of artists appearing in large and large-ish venues whom are completely unfamiliar to me -- as in, don't even recognize the name -- is growing by leaps and bounds.
In any event, it's Mt. Joy, who have been playing Boston as often as I wish Wilco would play Boston.
I'm wondering if this will lead to Bowery booking a lot of trifectas, with the same artist playing Forest Hills, Westville Music Bowl, and the Stage at Suffolk Downs within the same week.
has anyone ever bought a VIP meet & greet package for a show at Roadrunner (or any Bowery venue since i imagine they'd operate similarly)?
I bought it for Chromeo in like a week and a half and haven't heard anything about where i have to go and how early it is. i'll shoot them an email i guess, but not sure if i should take the day off work or if it'll be at like 5 or 6. and can we leave after that and eat somewhere and come back for the show, or are we stuck in there for the entire night.
