damn, I thought I stumbled back into the Headliner thread here for a second. The dumpster has started smoking since I left work and got back on here haha.
This is the first message board I've ever been on, the only reason I joined is because I love Bonnaroo and wanted to read and talk about it all year long.
I doubt we get him but Childish Gambino's new album just dropped. About halfway through so far and I like what I hear so far. Very different from his past work for sure.
Laura Marling announced a new album the other day, any chance she shows up on the lineup? I feel like a Roo (or pretty much any festival) isn't the best place to see her, but I'd love it all the same.
“Music has always been a matter of Energy to me, a question of Fuel. Sentimental people call it Inspiration, but what they really mean is Fuel. I have always needed Fuel. I am a serious consumer. On some nights I still believe that a car with the gas needle on empty can run about fifty more miles if you have the right music very loud on the radio.” - Hunter Thompson

honestly, lol I have no idea it was just the first thought I had. I would fully expect someone like either of those guys somewhere on the lineup based on where they've trended in regards to EDM on the lineup.

Ok, Awaken, My Love! Is great. Like really great. Like really really reallllllyyyy great.
Agreed I am absolutely loving it. Now I'm bummed that he got that part in Star Wars and wont be around.
everything im reading says it starts shooting in january? filming for TFA was 3 months, which is probably more than a Han Solo movie would need. I think if he wanted to he could easily play summer fests.
every single one of my friends hates the new gambino. I absolutely love it though.
that's funny. i imagine people that really loved his earlier work might have a hard time digesting this one. i liked but didn't love his earlier work, but in general i love all things donald glover.
After listening through a few times, I reallllyyyyyy love this new album. Redbone, Terrified, Boogieman, California, and Stand Tall are some really great tracks that I would love to hear live. Now I wish I had jumped at the chance to see his performances at Joshua Tree.
Overall I felt the singles were a little stronger than the other songs and I hated the song California but I still like what I'm hearing. 7/10 for me on a first listen

I wasn't crazy about "Zombies", that "scary" affectation on the vocals got old quickly.
