Let's get the ball rolling on possible/hopeful undercard acts for 2017.
Beck* Fleet Foxes The xx Modest Mouse Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds Chic ft. Nile Rodgers Grizzly Bear Portugal. the Man Real Estate Classixx Alvvays
I'd love it, but I'm not sure if they'll be active next summer since they will have been touring off Why Make Sense? for two years. On the other hand, they only have a handful of dates this year, and if we're lucky, they might have a new album in the works next year. If not Hot Chip, I'll hold out hope for Cut Copy.

Yeah next year probably isn't the year but like you said they aren't really playing a lot of dates this year. Either way it's been too long since they were at Roo

Animal Collective & The Shins top my list as always... dunno how likely AnCo are but The Shins are likely IMO, they should be announcing their album any day now. I'm also rooting for Lana Del Rey to get the highest billed female slot a la Florence/Ellie Goulding. If not her then I'd love Lorde.

Honest question - rather than holding out hope for Bonnaroo to suddenly start booking the kinds of acts which they haven't really shown an interest in and/or weren't able to land thus far, why don't you guys just check out some other festivals? You're naming off acts that are literally playing at all kinds of other fests all around the U.S.
For me, it's benefits are mainly camping and it's (sorta) nearby. I'm also pretty young so flying to festivals isn't really feasible with having to get a rental car or book a hotel if the state law is 21+. I also have really enjoyed their lineups up until this year so I'm holding out a little hope.

I mean I feel like a lot of people are. There were a lot less people on the farm this year. I would like to see lineups like 13/14 (which were good in my opinion) because Bonnaroo is the closest cheapest option to see headliners of that size. Bought Coachella tickets for next year though, so probably not doing Bonnaroo regardless of lineup next year.

Honest answer: After this year's lineup, I'm pretty doubtful Bonnaroo will actually put together a lineup that justifies the cost, travel time, and vacation time required. I'm already leaning toward alternatives like Gov Ball and Way Home. I would be interested in checking out Coachella or Outside Lands, but my ability to do so without paying an arm and a leg is contingent on where I'll be living next summer. And after getting my taste of a city festival this year, I'd prefer to go back to a camping festival next year. But mostly, I'm posting in this thread because this is a Bonnaroo forum.

For me personally it's because I earn my Bonnaroo ticket for free through the street team (I don't know if other fests do this and I will not work a festival lol, props for those who do but that would not be my gig) and I know this is a generic answer, but the atmosphere at Bonnaroo is too good. I've heard such shitty things about other fests in those regards. Plus Roo is a lot closer to home than other fests.

This is really just a wish list, in order of how much I want them. A lot of them are people who have played Roo recently because Roo is what gets me to listen a lot of new music. All the people in the Decent Chance category have either recently released an album or will be doing so in the next year, so I'd like to think that ups their chances.

This isn't my first rodeo. I can handle disappointing lineups, I attended this year.

I mean, I live in the Austin area so I definitely check out plenty of the fests around here. Fun Fun Fun (now "Sound on Sound"), Free Press (Houston), Levitation, and of course ACL have all offered some great lineups that I've been grateful to enjoy. But, I just enjoy the Roo experience. It's more of an all out arts festival than any other fest I go too, and, for whatever reason, I enjoy the camping at Roo more than at my local fests that offer camping. Overall, between all the local fests (many of which I can go to for cheap/free by working/volunteering) and Roo, I get to see plenty of my favorite artists. It's just that Roo, like I said, offers more of an all out experience for me.

Give me The National as the Sunday Which closer please and thank you.
PLEASE. They're unreal live. I'm still kinda confused why they didn't book them this year. Seems like a good fit with the Dead playing and the Dessner brothers having curated the Day of the Dead project. Oh well, leave it to Roo to miss out on that type of thing.
