So an estimated $386 million vouchers were issued on a $42 million dollar settlement. That's about 9 times so if you got the maximum 17 vouchers you should reasonably hope to redeem 2. However if people panic and play into ticketmaster's hand by redeeming all they got for shitty shows (which is obviously what is going to happen) then everyone loses.
Was just able to redeem all 7 of my free ticket codes, fairly painless.
I have a perverse curiosity what 7 shows from this list anyone could deem worth going to?
Blink 182 Prophets of Rage Goo Goo Dolls/Collective Soul Heart/Joan Jett/Cheap Trick Rob Zombie Brand New/Modest Mouse Gwen Stefano
Im not really a music snob, love going to see live shows so this list works for me. I wouldn't have paid for tickets to any of these shows, but for free it's not bad at all.

I've redeemed 10 sets of vouchers without any problems. 4 sets I'm giving away. 2 shows I got a total of 4 tickets for each show. Ain't no shame in a little Snoop, Blink and Steely Dan.
I have a total of 22 vouches I need to use (17 mine, 3 were Whoreshacks, 2 are Little Rock's) . I'm not about to let $2000 worth of free tickets go to waste. May as well go and see some shows, share the joy with others, and save a handful to use down the line while it lasts.
We're all a mess of paradoxes. Believing in things we know can't be true. We walk around carrying feelings too complicated and contradictory to express. But when it all becomes too big, and words aren't enough to help get it all out, there's always music.
Nothing offered in Alabama. Nothing left in Nashville. Nothing left that I would want to see in/around Atlanta. Guess I'll wait and hope they add more shows at some point.

I finally got a code to work last night and snagged 4 tix to see Journey & the Doobie Bros, but everything else that is semi-decent is sold out in San Diego & LA (and even Las Vegas).

Dont know if you're a Blink 182 fan, but their new date at Irvine (i think it's the last show at the venue) just went on sale this morning and my voucher actually worked for it.
Wow Detroit got Swans and Holy Fuck, maybe this won't be so bad after all. So far I've only been able to get Snoop Dogg tickets, but if they've started adding shows like those for Detroit maybe CLE/Columbus will get some nice ones in the coming weeks.
Im confused. They say these are for GA tickets only
I'm confused by that as well. I probably should have tried actual seats instead of going right to lawn but I was so excited that they were working at all.
Got tix for Heart/Joan Jett/Cheap Trick and Def Leppard/REO Speedwagon. Bucket list acts for me (well, not REO) so that's cool.
I actually wanted to do Brad Paisley but there is zero chance that I can find someone to go to that with and that's just too much concentrated country for me to survive solo.

Finally got one of my codes to work. Got 2 tickets for Prophets of Rage in Mansfield, MA. None of my codes have worked for any Massachusetts shows up until this point. There's still hope for my fellow New Englanders.

Looks like all vouchers have been claimed for all shows. So is that it? I'm so confused as to how this works....I have 14 more vouchers to use up they better list more shows!

At this point it seems it will be dependent on how many people use the discount codes, but I thought that before too. Hopefully they will add more shows to the list

They'll keep listing more/new shows as time goes on.
UPDATE JUNE 24 2:00 PM EDT Over the course of this week, over $10m worth of ticket vouchers have been redeemed and the eligible events have been closed. Please check back periodically for event listings as we anticipate making additional inventory available next week.
So on the settlement front plusses... Barnes and Noble just put $82.40 in my account. They are crediting accounts with actual money for over charging fees on downloads.

Edit: yes I read that much.
I got $8.50 in the Kindle store earlier this week. I'm way more excited about that than the Ticketmaster vouchers.

Is the list of available books you can purchase with that $8.50 pretty good? I bet it's stressful when the allotment of a certain book sells out and you have to wait a week for Amazon to release a new list of books that qualify.

Seriously, who was the person/people that considered this settlement to be a reasonable response to Ticketmaster's illegal practices? This is like if I had a business in the travel industry and after ripping off people on trips to great locales for years I was caught. As part of the settlement I get to offer them a limited number of trips to Bumfuck and as soon as those ran out I was off the hook. What the fuck is up with that? I don't expect that I will get an iota of recompense based on what is offered. Cash money baby.

Agree, this judge obviously doesn't use the interwebs and has no visibility into how big of a mockery Ticketmaster is making of this whole thing.
I don't know. I think I've settled down on this. I didn't bring a lawsuit and yet I have the opportunity to get free and discounted tickets. I look at it as found money.
But, yeah, their execution of this is is something that Bonnaroo would do. Funny how Live Nation bought both...

I used my disbursement to pay for part of a book I actually wanted. The only free books were like Dan Brown or some stupid self-help crap.

There are some winners. It's a major windfall for cover bands across the nation. They are about to be playing to the largest crowds they've ever seen. Hope they can stand up to the pressure. Also ticketmaster will surely be making money off this "punishment" as there will be 4 times as many people attending many of these shows than otherwise would have. All are at venues they own so the concessions will more than make up for the tickets they gave away to people who otherwise would have had to pay for them. Remember the ones they are giving away that would have gone unsold don't count against them; only those that would have which isn't many given this list.
