phoenix still possible. with them supposedly playing shaky knees i think we can expect them to be around through spring and early summer. maybe play a combination of Shaky Knees, Hangout, Gov Ball, firefly, bunbury and bottlerock before heading over to europe to play summer and fall fests?
Ugh I have a feeling Firefly is repeating RHCP this year, especially after their tweet today in response to somebody asking to bring back the Chili Peppers.
The "..." at the end gives me the idea that they will be back this year. Booooooo.

What concerns me the most about this is I don't think Firefly has it in them to book both RHCP and Muse.

How is RHCP and muse harder to book than sir Paul and the killers? Seems pretty reasonable to have both to me. Especially since the last 2 years have had 80-90k attendees.
Firefly responded to another tweet asking for a hint. To be honest, I think "A Trait we all possess at times" could be a hint for Muse. I don't know if that is too indirect, but I think you could consider the definition of Muse as a trait.

I think both RHCP and Muse are both a bigger deal than the Killers. Both in cost and attainability. That 2015 lineup really suffered because of Paul's cost, though that has nothing to do with the Killers of course. Either way I just don't want to get my hopes up they'd book Muse if RHCP is seeming likely.

How did the 2015 lineup suffer? It's a typical firefly undercard and I personally enjoy it more than the 2016 lineup. Also I would say the killers are bigger than muse.

I think the undercard on 2015 was noticeably lacking. Part of it was simply poor bookings. Saturday in particular was atrocious. KoL - Foster the People - Kid Cudi - Sublime with Rome - Steve Aoki was your top 5 acts of the day. Depends on personal taste I guess.

The 2015 undercard was pretty awful. There were a few gems sprinkled throughout, but the chaff-to-wheat ratio was absurdly high. Kings of Leon, Snoop Dogg, Foster the People, Zedd, Bastille, Kid Cudi, Steve Aoki, Sublime w/ Rome, Awolnation, The Kooks, X Ambassadors, Kygo, Matt & Kim, The Chainsmokers, and Walk the Moon were all in the top 25.

That's how firefly always is though. Guess I maybe have my exactions for this festival too low. I definitely prefer 2015 to 2016 in terms of lineup.

No argument from me there as I didn't go to any of those acts.

2015 had its bright spots. EOTS, Spoon, Cage the elephant, RTJ, Odesza, Citizen Cope, Tycho, Lettuce, Vacationer, Twin Peaks, and cheerleader were all great. Plus macca of course. 2016 was much deeper though IMO.

I think they did a much better job with the upper portion of the undercard this year. Definitely less filler in the top 5-6 lines than in 2015. I think they actually did a decent job with the middle and lower portion of the undercard in 2015. Acts like Sylvan Esso, Jungle, Glass Animals, Wolf Alice, Twin Peaks, Broncho, and Skylar Spence.
I'm reaching a bit, but I'm thinking more of the word muse as a verb. Second definition on google for the word Muse is:
Muse - Verb - Be absorbed in thought
I'd consider being absorbed in thought, a trait that every person would possess at one point or another. I could be wayyy off though and just projecting my hopes.

thoughts on top EDM? I really hope its not the chainsmokers or kygo. i would love to have Odesza and Flume in the top 10. also i think skrillex is far overdue.

I could see the chainsmokers and flume topping the edm.

I could definitely see Flume in that Friday night Disclosure slot from last year. Does anybody think they will have an edm headliner on the mainstage this year, like they did with Deadmau5 last year?

I think Skrillex is way overdue to be at the #4 spot (not sure he'd be listed as a headliner like Mau5 was). It's almost unreal that he hasn't been to a festival of this size in it's first 5 years.
