I woke up in the middle of the night and decided to watch The Sound of Music, and as I do when I rewatch a movie for the first time in a long time I started looking at all the work various people have done in the decades since the movie came out. I didn't realize Charmian Carr had passed away this year until I looked at her IMDB page. What a sad realization... this year really has been terrible.

Growing up, we used to watch Sound of Music when we'd trim the tree. Recently it's been The Last Waltz but I think I might have to go back this year.

I only like a handful of Christmas movies, and even though this one isn't it always felt like one to me. Which is actually why I watched it last night. After watching Miracle on 34th Street. Though, I totally forgot how long it was.
He's been a regular guest on a sports talk show that I listen to. One of the guys does a pretty good impression of him. So he's someone that I'm going to definitely miss. RIP.
If they had been dealing with this for over a year, it makes me wonder if AMSP was a retrospective of sorts for the band, and now, possibly an entirely new direction for future projects.
I wonder if the band knew, or he just kept it in until mid-tour to tell the others?
I am sad for him, cause he is one of the few 'stars' that I believe is a decent human.
