Pete. He also worked with ELP on lyrics for Karn Evil 9 (off Brain Salad Surgery) and contributed lyrics to Works Volume 1 and Works Volume II. He was tight with Greg Lake who quit Crimson after the first album but still sung on In the Wake of Poseidon because he was teenage friends with Fripp. He wrote some songs for Celine Dion and Cher as well at the other end of the musical rainbow. RIP.

Randy Cheek - bassist of Cincinnati legends Ass Ponys - passed away yesterday of kidney disease. They're one of my favorite bands of the '90s and early '00s - local or otherwise - and by all accounts, he was a good dude.
