I've got five presentations to make at three county party meetings in the next ten days. Might have myself a Democratic field office in my town through the election, TBD on or shortly after 8/3.

Hey! I am sincere a lot! I just have drawn the mafia card a lot recently.
And no, first round fake has not been done before to my knowledge. The risk was always thought to be too high.
I loved that Zig implied that we did it because of our huge egos and that we thought we were better than everyone and could get away with it.
When we really did it because "fuck it, lets see how far we can take it." We were proud when it was certain we'd make it to round 5.
Yeah we had a big laugh about that one. It truly was a "fuck it" decision. And i would say odds are long in the best of cases. In the mafia thread, literally all 3 of us posted "holy fuck it worked" when potent voted almost at the same time.
As for next game, I'm flying out to Oakland on August 4th, then to Kansas City and won't be back home til the 14th. I should sit this one out. Especially knowing that my trip to California will likely include very little time I want to devote to a commitment like Mafia

Last time I made a trip out to Cali to visit this same person, I had signed up to play that album draft thing & we were mid game....I ended up not having cell service for ~48 hours, and one particular poster was not pleased. I got many an unkind word about how I *should've known I wouldn't have service* and how it was *shitty of me to not provide advanced warning* and isn't that *such typical Rummy, to only be thinking of herself and her own desires* when like I truly truly did not know i'd be adventuring down the coastal highway for two days but I sure as hell wasn't gonna say "nah b, let's not do this incredible scenic tour of the CA coast - I have an online draft game to attend to."
And with Mafia, that complaint would be a little more legitimate. People SHOULD think ahead to whether they'll be free enough (and of course sometimes things come up that we can't predict - that's different), and I do know I won't be very available during that time. With the draft game, the degree of complaint was far more absurd. But I rest my case Gotta sit this one out, sorry HoneyVikBear
