Everyone loves to say "Dammit Zig" about the last game, but the truth is Viking played the town like a fiddle. I watched the whole time thinking, "I wouldn't be falling for this flip flopping nordic!" but it's easy to say that as a ref looking from the outside in. I felt like Viking could say anything and not even rely on the other mafia to assist because the town was eating it up without any need for other mafia to put themselves out at all. I learned more about mafia as ref in the last game than all the previous games put together.
As well as Viking played everyone, I feel like the last game was lost by townies. Viking went from "Damn it, I'm the dick known as Viking!" to "Wow guys, this is going bad, vote for someone else."
It was your first game so YOU can at least use the inexperienced excuse...
I'm not trying to be snarky but isn't the whole appeal of this game that you can still be wrong no matter how experienced you are? I wouldn't want to play if I was right every single game and mafia didn't mix it up.
I seem to remember a point in that game where I had to beg, plead and twist your arm to get you to even vote for someone you swore was Mafia... but you didn't get played, Inspector D1-Runoff-Vote-With-Known-Mafia-To-Spare-Him-While-Spilling-Innocent-Blood?
SFA, Viking and I played all of you, end of story. No need to blame each other, you guys never had a chance lol
Yeah, look at that first round. Viking and I went hard core at setting up distance between all the mafia. One of the worst scenarios was the inspector having my name and we still pulled it off. If Zig had Viking's name the town wouldn't have had even made it 5 rounds with mafia faking in round 1.
The town got outplayed by experience and by the mafia acting like complete insane people.
