Do we think NIN could be a possibility? They're playing Panorama the week before and have a long history with Lolla, but it might seem a bit soon to bring them back also. Regardless, them being there would make it hard for me to turn down a day pass

Feel like they'd be more likely for Riot Fest, no?

Oh yeah, good point. Idk, after the rumors last year I could see Tool making sense for Riot as well
I doubt Kanye is that 4th headliner but the rest feels right. Just can't put my finger on who the 4th HL would be with Muse, AF, and Chance.
Not buying Blink in the top 8, they'll be a sub though.
Still rolling with
Thurs
Samsung: Chance
Bud Light: The xx
Friday
Samsung: Jay-Z
Bud Light: Vampire Weekend
Saturday
Samsung: Muse
Bud Light: Lorde
Sunday
Samsung: Arcade Fire
Bud Light: Justice
I can't see the xx playing one of the main nights against AF, Muse, or whoever the big number one is(if there is one). The crowds wouldn't be close in size at all.
Lorde could easily play against Chance on Thurs, but I think she can hold her own against one of the bigger acts. Her crowds will be massive this summer anywhere she plays.
Still no clue who are number one is. I know Livenation gets greedy, but I doubt they'll have GNR have two major events in less than 4 days from each other. It would definitely take away from whatever Roo is trying to cook up with GNR on the farm. That's why I think Jay-Z, who is being quiet could end up on the Lolla bill. He has a deal with Livenation, rumored to have new material out this year, and has yet to play Lolla. It very well could be Kanye too, which would be exciting too.
There's rumors that they're kicking off a co-headlining tour with QOTSA late summer. It'd be nice if they snagged both.
I think Riot gets them. I was pretty positive that Green Day was going to play Riot, that's clearly not a thing anymore with their Wrigley date. So it's gotta be Tool or NIN, dare I say both? I also think QOTSA is heading to Riot as well. Last time NIN played in 2013, their crowd was a ghost town. Couldn't have been more than what 15,000 maybe less? I'm optimistic but I just don't know if C3 is going to book them again so soon, because the lack of crowd attention.
QotSA subbed for NIN in 2013. Would be weird if they did that again, but not impossible. I don't think NIN is all too likely though as much as I'd like to see them again. I have a feeling this fest won't have a big number 1 this year but will be deeper than most of the fests to come out so far.
EDIT: Also, in regards to Chance, I feel like the only reason he wasn't billed last year was because of his one day festival he threw in Chicago at US Cellular Field. He made a guest appearance at one set every day last year so in my mind he's a definite shoe-in this year. I would guess Thursday on Samsung but I suppose they could use him to off set an act like Arcade Fire or Muse.
if they seriously conflicted AF and Justice, that would be one of the worst conflicts that I have ever seen in a schedule.
Two different audiences though. Is that any worse than Jack White vs Justice? Pretty easy decision for me. I would choose Arcade Fire.
I would definitely choose AF, but that's only an easy decision for me because I just saw Justice play a 2.5 hour set in NYC and I've never seen AF. The thing is that Justice is the only electronic show that I've ever seen that was possibly better than Flying Lotus. It is one of my top 5 favorite shows that I have ever seen. I agree that the audiences are pretty different, so I could def see them conflicting each other, but I think it would be just as logical to have them opposing a hip hop headliner, especially if they're doing their live show.
Also, two questions: when does this lineup usually come out? and, I haven't kept up with this thread this year, so I was wondering exactly how sure are we on all the headliners everyone keeps guessing? because people seem to be posting a lot of the same bands
