Just to clarify though ... are all the bands on here out for Roo? I originally thought that Primavera was the weekend of Roo but it's the weekend before, so?

The more I look at this line-up the more I love it. Its not an instant WOW like this year. I'm really disappointed they didn't get the Can reunion even though Gabi basically said it was a one-off. Annette Peacock, Aphex Twin, Royal Trux, This Is Not This Heat, and The Make-Up are some damn fine reunions/comebacks though. Some interesting gets like The Zombies performing Odessey and Oracle (they're still great), King Sunny Ade, and Seu Jorge performing Bowie...

Id be scared to see the schedule if I was planning on going to this. So many good acts and there would be no way around many conflicts. I thought I didn't know any of the little font below but looked a little harder and saw Mitski and Swet Shop Boys hiding down there.
My friend wants to go to this so I may start making plans. Any protips? Airbnb, hostel, or hotel? Im assuming it isn't canmping.
We already reserved our Airbnb, a two bedroom place about a 10 minute walk from the venue for $112 a night. There are hotels a few minutes walk from the venue, but they have already doubled their rates to over $200 per night. If you are going to reserve an Airbnb, do it now; with the lineup released, VIP tickets and rooms will go quickly.
My thoughts on the lineup: pretty solid. Bon Iver and Frank Ocean don't do much for me, but Van Morrison and Aphex Twin are major bucket list artists. Lots of gems throughout the lineup, so I do have some concerns about conflicts, which is a good problem to have.

Also, plan a few extra days to see Barcelona. If you are already flying over there for the festival, why not? European cities have so much more personality than US cities, you might find touring the city to be the best part of your trip.

And unfortunately, this is the reason I will probably never attend this festival. If I'm gonna spend the money to travel to Europe, I'd rather spend time exploring than at a music festival. Then again, if I was able to do an extended stay like a few weeks I would be more willing to spend time at a festival. Don't get me wrong, I love festivals, but I can get a similar festival experience in the US for much cheaper, so I would rather spend time in Europe doing uniquely European things.
