Where did people here stay and would you recommend staying there?
I stayed a mile away and walked back every night. It's not that big of a deal until you realize the schedule won't let you out till 5 or 6 in the morning. Stay somewhere closer or take cab fair.
Has anyone else had trouble buying a ticket for this?
First my bank thought it was fraud, now they're letting the charge go through but the primavera website keeps saying it can't perform the operation. It's extra fun because everything is in spanish

And when I try to use the spanish ticketmaster option is says my zipcode doesn't match my state WTF

I had the same issue with my bank card. I ended up having to use a different card, my American express I believe.

Call your bank tomorrow and notify them you are going to conduct a foreign transaction. Most banks will flag your account temporarily to let foreign transactions go through. I travel internationally from time to time and this is the routine I have to do with my bank, which is why I got an American express.

I already called them and they took all the blocks off my card for it so they told me if the charge doesn't go through now it's because Primavera isn't allowing it to go through not them.
I'd recommend the Tryp By Melia hotel for Primavera. It was reasonably priced, walking distance to the fest, has a rooftop pool, and a lot of the artists stay there and you'll end up having breakfast with them (Ate with Beach Slang and Empress Of this past year)
Has anyone () seen Royal Trux since they reunited?
I haven't but I want to really bad. They would fall into "must see" territory for me but I'd totally understand the vast majority skipping them if a conflict presented itself.

yeah they're firmly in the spot of a band I feel like I'll kick myself later if I don't see them but I don't know much about them now.
The stuff I wanna see on each day made this lineup even more overwhelming for me, with minimal research this is how it stands barring conflicts.

Don't try and imagine. It just sucks. Period.
I got stuck on the Auditori and never looked back. The space is beautiful, the sound was amazing. I'm betting a lot of what you're thinking of seeing is in there (ie: Magnetic Fields, Annette Peacock, Zombies). Don't skip those. That place closes by midnight and you still have a good 5 or 6 hours at the stages.
Good luck with Sleep, btw. While things have been more reliable these days with them, not so much a few years ago. I'm still bitter over them canceling that year.

So this suddenly became a possibility for me. I'm going to France on 6/8 and would love to try to swing a stay in Barcelona beforehand. Can anyone just give me a basic run down on the fest/costs? What's lodging like in the area? How's the venue? What's the schedule like?
