Whether it's your first Bonnaroo or you’re a music festival veteran, we welcome you to Inforoo.
Here you'll find info about artists, rumors, camping tips, and the infamous Roo Clues. Have a look around then create an account and join in the fun. See you at Bonnaroo!!
Right? And here I was thinking that 80s hair bands would restore Bonnaroo to its former glory. Guess I was off on that one.
I mean, you joke, but booking weird shit like Alice Cooper, Billy Idol and ZZ Top was part of what made recent lineups great. A little hair metal woulda brought some class to the proceedings.
Completely agree. I've seen Def Leppard on a couple mocks before (including my own), which is why I felt it was worth noting. Roo's off-the-wall bookings were great.

That's what I kept telling my wife about our wedding, but she still wouldn't let me hire Unchained.

Saw Styx last year. I know Dennis DeYoung hasn't been with them for a while, but it was still a rocking show. They'd make a LN tent very happy. I'd at least hang out until they played "Renegade".

Gonna have to check what the radius clause is like for the Tuscaloosa county Fair.
I saw Def Leopard and Reo Speedwagon this summer. One of the better shows I've seen.
Me, too. With Tesla, no less. All three for the first time. Def Leppard would actually be a good time late night.
Also caught Heart/Joan Jett/Cheap Trick. Three more off the bucket list (thanks, Ticketmaster settlement!). Any of them would be welcome bookings for me, especially Jett.
Angel Olsen has a show in France on June 7th, and she's playing Roskilde in Denmark two weeks after Bonnaroo. Safe to say she's probably out.
I can't believe they failed to book both Anderson .Paak and Angel Olsen. Two no-brainers if you ask me.
It's not completely fair to say they failed to book them when they're playing in Europe. If the artist already had plans, there's not that much Roo can do about it. But still. I'm very unhappy about those two. I'll still hold out hope for Angel Olsen but only a sliver.

Anderson .Paak joins the list of bands roo completely missed the boat on despite having a 2 summers window to book. Future Islands are also on that list
Artist says: "We're playing Australian shows in May, then some shows in Europe in July, and we'll hit the United States in August and October!"
Inforoo hears: "ZOMG he didn't mention June. BONNAROOOOOOOZZZZZZZZZZZZ!!!!1"
Seriously, Juggs? Way to completely misconstrue what I said. I'm not expecting them to play Bonnaroo (for various reasons), but I'm not going to mark them as definitely out if they haven't disclosed their plans for June. Maybe try reading the first post in this thread for clarity.

Not surprising, but it looks like you can rule out Nicolas Jaar and Moderat. Both are playing Field Day (weekend before Roo) and Sonar (weekend after Roo).
I guess we can rule out a few more from the forecastle lineup
Nonono, all we can ascertain from that garbage Forecastle line-up is that 'Roo could have another rough go of it with the undercard. I had been thinkin' of switchin' to Forecastle over the last two years, but definitely not with this.
I don't know why we would draw any conclusions form Forecastle. How much of that top half played Bonnaroo at some point over the last 3 years? I'm cynical with Bonnaroo but Forecastle isn't a reason. If you want to draw conclusions about what could be at Bonnaroo, then go look at Hangout. That's probably closer to fitting the bill with both the good and the band.

If you were thinking about switching to forecastle then undercard probably isn't what you cared about.

The line-up the last few years was always at least interestin'. Not this year.
There's minimal overlap between Forecastle and Roo that's why you can get a feel of what not to expect at Roo.
Sure, but you cant draw a single conclusion about any specific artist based solely on them being at Forecastle. All we can really say is that the Roo lineup will not be similar overall, which is a good thing.

Sigur Ros is out... Kind of a kick in the balls that they are playing Nashville litterally the day right after Roo... Might be a neat vacation to stick around after the fest and hit that show up though.
