Came here to post this. That's my thinking as well, between that and the Meadows presenting it. Nas was the only other name on Meadows lineup I could see. Couldn't see it being migos/future/RTJ.

Used to be my go to venue. Both for concerts and club nights. I used to go there every year for New Years just to get the VIP pass so I could get in for free on Sat and Sundays. I haven't been there nearly as much in the last few years. But the fact that its closing/falling under new ownership as I hit 30 really does feel like the end of an era for me.

How could it possibly be as much of a shit show. If you have people buy tickets before the concert, there wont be a massive mob of people outside trying to get in...

Probably still be a fare amount of people trying to get in but I think the issue was, similar to the Foo Fighters show at Irving Plaza in 2014, that it was a "First come, first serve" thing so tons of people just encroached on the venue not allowing for any proper line. Plus, since the Kanye show was last minute, don't think proper security was set up.
Launchpad, was Green Day ever in play for this or did they choose to do Global Citizen's Fest instead? Feel like they'd be a much better fit for this than the Chili Peppers though I don't imagine bands get paid for Global Citizen's.

I assume they are gonna announce Jay Z is doing this at 12:03 but still feels very odd rushing to buy tickets for a show that I dont know who is performing yet
I managed, but I was hoping to get four so I could go with more friends. I'm a little annoyed they never answered the ticket limit because I would've planned with my friends better. But I definitely got lucky even getting the two I managed to get.
