Imagine being so pathetic that you want people to actually miss out on saving some money just to prove a point. Imagine being so mad on the internet that you habitually yell into the void even after being blocked. Then again that function where one can view tagged posts by removed users can make for some good laughs. How can one try so hard? I always ask myself.

Beware anyone that was using Loudie to attend this...the tickets that they had to claim the last few weeks weren't actually tickets, they were "tickets" to win passes. Used Loudie to score Karoondinha tickets, that later turned into free Wayhome passes, and the Meadows "tickets" looked the same as the Karoondinha ones.
Just sold my Riot Fest pass on Stubhub for a $20 loss Monday so now I'm out my Riot Fest pass and probably doubtful I'll win these passes. Only wanted to go to this thing to see Gorillaz, so might just buy another Riot Fest pass since I'm able to cancel my NYC AirBNB.
I am sure that all of this happened to The Guy Who Lies About Everything.

To be fair, as someone who purchased the 3 day from Vivid Seats, im far from 100% confident that I will be receiving a 3 day pass when it comes in the mail. I think ill have some recourse, but theres a non-zero chance we get screwed.

Regardless of whether the Vivid tickets are legit, 3 days are going for well below face on StubHub, and if people had rushed out to buy tickets a month ago when Launchpad said it was going to definitely sell out they would have wasted a lot of money. So maybe trying to turn Jones into the villain is a dumb play on his part.

Yeah that never happened.
What I have said repeatedly in this thread, is to pay attention to social media and theyll give a heads up when tickets are running low... Making up lies to try to make yourself feel better for costing people money; def adds to your level of douchery though .
I did say it will sell out. Never told anyone to rush out and buy before its too late.. And I think it still is going to sell out; after Labor Day, when the NYU and Columbia kids are back in session... Because you know that's totally who is going to these things.
I dont control Stubhub or the secondary market, but I can give out some accurate info. Like warning people that the "free tickets" (which you also hyped) were bullshit.
Stage layout and VIP sections look exactly the same as last year.
Can you give a review of the VIP last year please? Can you walk up to any show as it's about to start (mostly talking about headliners) and still get a good view of the stage? Or is it all way off to the side?

Still try and get there a little early for a good spot; def make extra time for headliners.
The real cluster is going to be Friday. I think everyone is going to be camped out for RTJ > Hov. Jay playing unopposed is def going to make it tricky.
Picked up a single day through the official site for Saturday.
A-Trak > Badu > Big G > TVotR > Gorillaz
...shoyld be a fun single day.
Anyone seen MIA recently? Debating checking her out for 15-20 mins on the way to Gorillaz since that set will prob be mobbed and ill be in the back anyway. Also, for anyone that went last year, is it safe to assume the indie sets should be fairly empty? Hoping to get rail for TVotR.
It is important for aging festival goers to remind the other aging festival goers that only college kids will attend the festival being discussed/attended by aging festival goers.

Have a good weekend. Stay safe during that Texas hurricane brother.

Word on the web wasn't good about her European festivals shows this summer. But I don't think she's ever been known for her live performances.
College kids? Try high schoolers last year. I've never seen more drunk 13 year olds in my entire life.
The vendors were terrible last year. Remember going to get a beer in between Chance & Ye, and the man who sold it was a prick. For one, he never ID'd me, and it was extremely obvious he even thought I was underage. Second, they were selling open beers that had I guess previously been consumed and they just filled with water. I of course should've known better than to accept it or even drink it, and definitely should've tried to do something about it afterwards, but I just said screw it and went back to see Ye. Can only hope this year is better.
Also, I've been lurking in this thread for awhile, and have seen the real v fake Vivid debate. As someone who purchased one, just want to add I hope they were confirmed by vivid first before listing. Feel like it's something a group of us should hound them about, just to settle it.

That sounds really shitty and pretty disgusting. You definitely should have spoken up at the time or emailed the promoters after the event to report that. I dont know if you attended Governors Ball this year, but they have started using ID scanners at bars. It helps, but its still a work in progress with upping security and checks.
Personally, I feel it is a bit overstated. But I tend to just keep to my own crew of people and have a great time with them. I am there for the music. If somebody around me is being shitty, I find a new spot.
The problem with selling festival tix on Vivid, Stubhub, or Seatgeek is that they have no way of verifying before being listed. Its a wristband. The seller never sends it to Vivid. They won't know about a fake listing until after you get the wrong thing and complain. They do say right on the ticket buying page "Valid tickets delivered in time for the event or your money back"... Meaning at worst theyll just refund you. I hope that it turns out to be real. Id really hate to see people get screwed over... But it seems very suspect. We shall see.

For the record, I've dealt with Stubhub when tickets have gotten messed up on multiple occasions and every time they have gotten me into the event in question, and for most its been in better seats or access than what i had originally purchased.

Yeah I mentioned in this thread before that the same happened to a friend of mine using Stub.. Seems like Vivid is pretty clear in the fine print that they just give refunds, but who knows.

It looks like things got shuffled a little on Saturday. Antibalas is now playing at 3, opposite Big Boi, with A-Trak now opposite De La Soul. And, with that, one of my conflicts is solved. New Saturday schedule...
Dams of the West > Public Access TV > Jacob Banks > Flatbush Zombies > Antibalas > Erykah Badu/LL Cool J (game time decision or split set) > De La Soul > TV on the Radio > Gorillaz

Damn I didnt notice that... Antibalas vs Big Boi is tough for me.
Edit. Just registered the number and it went fine. Only thing is that the instructions say that there should be a UID under the registration code on the wristband and I don't have one
