People who have done after shows before, do you have to leave the fest early to make the whole set of the headliner? For example if I want to see all of Cherry Glazerr's set will I have to leave LCD early?

I've done an after show for this and Northcoast before and since the headliners end around 10(?) we didn't miss anything at the after party. We did go straight from the fest to the venue though.

It's been a few years since I've been but it was always venue dependent. You you be there in time for CG, for sure. You might miss the opening act though. The best is when it's at the Bottom Lounge. You won't miss anything there. It's just a short walk from the festival.

Just letting y'all know there's definitely several aftershows that still haven't been announced yet, considering the Jeff Rosenstock set Sunday night has a ticket page up and everything, yet still hasn't been mentioned. I predict the lineup will go up on the 12th, or at least more aftershows

Thanks! I forgot all about that. I'll add it to the list.
Constellation is listing William Tyler (Thursday) and Colin Stetson on Sunday. Pretty sure I know where I'll be Sunday. www.constellation-chicago.com
Set times are here, looks almost exactly the same as the leak:

Think I may just try and buy a Sunday pass from someone who doesn't want to go all three days on the cheap if I can. Also, if there's some pre-fest show at Metro for fest-goers and none of you can make it, I'd take the ticket off your hand if it happens to be someone like Dirty Projectors, Avalanches, Nico Jaar, etc.
Fri: Priests > D∆WN > Hiss Golden Messenger > William Tyler > Thurston Moore Group > Dirty Projectors > Arca > LCD Sat: Vagabon > Jeff Rosenstock > Weyes Blood > Arab Strap > Mitski > The Feelies > Angel Olsen > PJ Harvey > ATCQ Sun: Colin Stetson > Derrick Carter > Hamilton Leithauser > Ride > The Avalanches > Nicolas Jaar > Solange
Now the question is will I make it a night of Thurston or just wait and see TMG at the festival.
Just realized my Airbnb is a 3 minute walk to the Empty Bottle. Looks like Thursday is Thurstday. Still holding out hope for an Arca set sometime throughout the weekend.

If you added Frankie Cosmos in there, that's my schedule in a nutshell.

Can't wait for this thing. Probably most excited for A Tribe Called Quest.
Friday: ??? > Vince Staples > Frankie Cosmos/ Thurston Moore > Danny Brown > (Either Kamaiyah > Arca or get a good spot for) > LCD Soundsystem
Saturday: Jeff Rosenstock > Cherry Glazerr > Mitski or George Clinton > Francis and the lights (?) > Madlib > PJ Harvey > ATCQ
Sunday: Kilo Kish > NE-HI > Isaiah Rashad > Joey Purp > Pinegrove or Ride (?) > Avalanches > Nicolas Jaar(?) > Solange
All the question marks are artist I'm not sure of because I haven't gotten into yet or empty slots with no bands to see so any suggestions would be helpful! Very excited for Avalanches into Solange

Personally, I'd do Ride over Pinegrove. Nothing against them, Ride is just a rarer "get" and not playing too many US dates.
In addition to their show with DJ Spinn/RP Boo on Saturday, Smart Bar announced a show with Kevin Saunderson for Friday night of Pitchfork weekend, for those who need something to do late at night.

Thank you for your service. I wanted an excuse to check that place out and have now found it

Are you going solo?
Mrs. GL is going and is stoked. And by stoked I mean she'll be there Friday and half a day Sunday and who knows where the rest of the time. I'm just planning on being solo but it's really dependent on what she's feeling at the moment.
I forgot to respond to this, sorry sir. I made sure to get into Chicago Wednesday night since we usually get in Thursday and it's chaos until we leave Monday morning. I'll see if I can snag some tickets for the two of us before the fest.
I still don't have a definitive set schedule; there's plenty of research to be done.
Schedule is largely dependent on if I make it into Chicago on Thursday or Friday, but: Friday: Madame Ghandi / Priests / Dawn Richard / William Tyler / Thurston Moore / Kamaiyah or Danny Brown if/when the Blue Stage is running behind / Dirty Projectors / LCD Saturday: Vagabon / Jeff Rosenstock / Cherry Glazerr / Arab Strap / George Clinton (rip mitski) / The Feelies / Madlib / PJ Harvey / ATCQ Sunday: Kilo Kish / Colin Stetson / Derrick Carter / Isaiah Rashad / Hamilton Leithauser / Ride / The Avalanches / American Football / Solange
Friday I'm volunteering in the AM mostly to see LCD. Just found out I also get a free Sat ticket.
Saturday: George Clinton/Angel Olson/ATCQ
If anyone wants to meet up sat let me know. I'm going solo and don't have any sets prior to the evening. Anyone know if you can park around union? Friday I'll be driving in well before the fest but wasn't sure if any streets are closed off. Saturday I will be taking the L.
