LCD is possible, although it would be odd since they headlined Lola last year. I dont think they have ever had a band go from heading a huge stage like lolla to headlining a smaller stage at another Chicago festival the following year.
I bet PJ Harvey and Run The Jewels would be 2 of the headliners, RTJ in particular. They played 2nd to last in 2015 (behind Chance the Rapper) and their crowd was huge. PJ Harvey might be a little more obscure but she is the legacy act they like to get and her US shows are so rare these days so that could be a special grab.

LCD seems to be popping up at smaller fests, they're rumored for Shaky Knees, are playing Forecastle the week of Roo(they usually share acts). For instance in 2014, Beck played Forecastle and P4K. You don't think Beck is as big as LCD? Or Bjork? Or R. Kelly? Or Vampire Weekend? Or Kendrick?
A top line of LCD-Bon Iver-PJ Harvey is a possibility. The undercard wouldn't even suffer that much.

Vampire Weekend and Kendrick have both gotten much more popular since headlining Pitchfork.

Well Bon Iver has his own festival in Wisconsin just a month before that so i dont think he will do another festival so close by only a few weeks after his.

I may be wrong but I think the national will headline Bon Iver's fest next year.
I'm thinking about going to this year and have never been before. Does the festival usually sell out? The past two years I've gone to Sloss Fest during this weekend but I've been wanting to try something different so I may try to make this happen.

Sometimes certain days sell out, but you'll be good on that for a while. If you're worried about running out of time, I wouldn't be too concerned. Just looking up last year, Saturday was the only day that sold out on June 14th, and then they replenished passes again anyways.
