I don't care who GV books as long as they book equally agreeable to 2017. Mumford, Weezer, Lumpkin, Head and the Heart, Band of Horses, Strand of Oaks, Joseph, Joshua James, Franz, and a few others were awesome.
Maybe some OCMS, Blackberry Smoke, Margo Price, Sturgill Simpson, and KOL next year.

No thanks to KOL. Enough with them. Sturgill would be a real badass Surf closer though. All in on that.
Edit: A big issue with KoL and how Hangout's lineups are made up, is we don't have many slots for rock acts. I would really hate to use one of them for KOL. Give me Arctic Monkeys in that slot next year.
Would be awesome to get St Vincent, but if her next album crushes I think she is now in headliner territory. Sturgill could def be in play for a Surf close. Same w Nathaniel Rateliff who, like someome posted, one of the biggest crowds at ACL. Angel Olsen is also climbing ranks fairly quickly.

I could fuck with that. Some shit, some stuff I like, nothing crazy rare. I know theyre fest whores this year but I like Glass Animals and Royal Blood so even with seeing them before, I hope Hangout can snag those 2. Would like a couple more off the wall bookings like Sigur Ros, Frank, Franz, or even Lenny Kravitz. I could see Foster The People coming back too. You're also missing any female acts- that's where Lana or Lorde would come in.

Ohhhhhh yeah. Hope Royal Blood is there. Seeing them in a couple months. Definitely need some more female presence. I thought of FtP as well and can see that happening. Definitely agree a couple raritied can make a 50/50 fest a go for me.

Wouldn't be my top choice but I'd probably go. Wyclef would be perfect. I still have not seen him after getting black out drunk at SUNY Cortland on a road trip freshman year of college and not making his show in 1999/2000. One of my biggest concert regrets.

This thread has honestly calmed down quite a bit imo. I think most people have their expectations in check. There's a lot of hilariously stupid shit spewed throughout the thread still but that's what makes it great.

I feel like they just don't have any fests left to headline after 2016/17 so maybe this will be in play. My mock is def favored towards what I want so I expect it to be nothing like that.

That Reggie watts and thundercat jam sesh thrown down on Gorburger a few weeks ago was amazing. Prolly the only thing I'm sad to miss at acl weekend 1. But Itll all be worth it to GETTER wet.
