Looked for them on Pollstar website and theyre not in the top 20. For perspectives sake: U2's current tour total revenue is about $159 million.....DAFUQ. Attendance Avg ticket price Cities (67,380 x $113.47 x 21)
No. They'd cost about >7 million which is probably most of the line up.
i feel like U2 could be at least a small possibility, im not really into them but id see the show. i dont think money is THAT big of an issue when they can just promote someone like Arctic Monkeys, Lorde, Lana, IG, etc to fill the other HL spots for cheap

Maybe. But U2 would be easily the biggest act they ever brought to the festival. They are bigger than Stevie Wonder and Tom Petty. I doubt it, but I'd go back to Hangout if they got U2 even if the rest of the lineup sucked. I have the same opinion on the Foo Fighters.
Run The Jewels announced more tour dates leading into mid-April and don't come near Gulf Shores. They're also playing arenas which is fuckin awesome. Good for them.

I know I’ve said it probably too many times but for a headliner on the beach I still really want Pearl Jam as doubtful as it seems these days...also for a pop artist would like Bruno Mars or Lady Gaga. Hip hop bring me Kendrick or Eminem. Also undercard wise this year would really like to see Incubus, RTJ, Nathaniel Rateliff, The xx, Asap Rocky, and Of Monsters and Men somewhere on there if possible haha.

While most of this is not my normal go to, I like the way you think Hangout Fest wise.

Thanks man! Yeah most of my music is mainstream alternative with some folk and hip hop but I do try and take most peoples advice on the boards like I did with lcd this past weekend and enjoyed a ton so I’m not too close minded with music either lol.
1st line - Jimmy Buffett 2nd line - Sturgill Simpson 3rd line - TTB 4th line - Nathaniel Ratliffe 5th line - Greensky Bluegrass 6th line - Randall Bramblett 7th line - Michael Kiwanuka 8th Line - Philip Sayce 9th Line - Jamel Richardson You get the concept. I can count in you folks to fill in all the other spots with typical after 2013 performers. Just saying.

As much as Id like TTB, they seem to be very selective about what shows they play and Hangout doesnt seem to fit.

They are opening for Lorde
Ah fuck me, that's right. Didn't put 2 n 2 together there. When I saw them tweet it additional dates I completely forgot about the dates with Lorde. Shit hopefully Hangout gets both of them.

That is why they would be a great fit as something other than boom boom. I didn't think Mumford fit Hangout's new style well either. Ditto everyone on my list. I liked 80% of 2013 and 20% of 2017. But, I really liked the festival, the 20%, and the annual vacation with friends vibe.

For sure. I agree with you. I was talking Hangout doesn't fit TTB's plans not that Hangout wouldnt fit in TTB in their new lineup (althoug hthat is probably true). TTB tends to play a bunch of theater shows which they can charge 65-80 bucks a seat for. They don't need fests and seem to be selective about the ones they play. I do not think they have played anything that was a jam or blues fest.
On second thought, you are correct ne215 and others. Mumford is one of the few performing acts these days that can fit almost any demo.
Also agree TTB is for a little older and laid back demo than Hangout is going for these days. But, I still think they would be an awesome lead in to a headliner or sundown show on the beach.
Benjamin Booker would be great on the lineup and he's got a new album out.
Also, (I may have said this before) I'd love to see Bermuda Triangle--Brittany Howard's new trio.
Dan Auerbach isn't scheduled to come this way on his tour that ends in early April. His pop-y sound is growing on me and would be a good afternoon set on the beach.
