Whether it's your first Bonnaroo or you’re a music festival veteran, we welcome you to Inforoo.
Here you'll find info about artists, rumors, camping tips, and the infamous Roo Clues. Have a look around then create an account and join in the fun. See you at Bonnaroo!!
A lot of artists/bands calling it quits. Black Sabbath, Neil Diamond, Elton John, Slayer, The Warped Tour, and Lynyrd Skynyrd are some of them. Time loves a hero...
Jazz Fest, Sweetwater, and a few other festivals looking great. Bonnaroo will be fine. Hangout at the bottom of the list in 2018 IMO. I checked on condo rentals and there are some that are waaaay overpriced and a few reasonable. The condo by IWW has a couple beach front rooms for around $200 a night.
I'm still planning on Volunteer Jam in March, Hangout in May, and Bonnaroo in June. Hope everyone is doing well and looking forward to festival season.
Same to ya, Bob! Gonna start festin at a little one up in Cinn called Homecoming. Sat/Sun one. Before I hit that one, I'll be seeing In This Moment, Moon Taxi (at a nice little place in Lex), Black Angels in Louisville, and All Time Low up in Newport. Guilty pleasure, but I really like All Time Low & am stoked to see them. That would be a fine band for the 'Modern Hangout' (tm)!
Sand Jam pretty much a mini Hangout. I wish Incubus, Kaleo, and Sublime with Rome were playing Hangout. I'd offer up just about anybody on the Hangout lineup for them. I think Fitz, Capital Cities, others played Hangout.

Saw In This Moment up in Louisville. Started out with Ded, then New Years Day, then POD & then the main act. I liked POD the best. They had 1/2 hour to work with & just did their songs with minimal chitchat. I don't think New Years Day got out more than 4 songs. Ded did a good job, but much of the singing is that screaming-with-rage stuff. In This Moment had alot of dead space (IMO) in their set. The lead singer would do costume changes after each song! She was no Lady Gaga when it came to doing them fast. Also, too much talking, 10 minutes of introducing the band, etc. I don't recommend them, if they do what they did that night. Excited for Moon Taxi this Friday. I know they won't disappoint me :-)
That Lock'n festival lineup is awesome! I would love to see that lineup on the beach at Hangout! The Dead, TTB, Umph, Sheryl Crow, WSP, Toots, Blues Traveler, Spafford, Monn Taxi, Grateful Gospel, Foundation of Funk, Turkuaz, The Suffers, Souther Avenue, Lukas Nelson, George Clinton, wow! Great lineup! Hangout lineup so lame. Like going to a partial rerun of undercards.
I realize this style music isn't as popular as others on a Inforoo, but some really good musicians. I listened to Dallas Moore for two nights at Florabama Yacht Club, couch in the sand on waterfront, and loved every minute of it. Tumbleweed in Kansas has some awesome Country rebel writers on the lineup like Marty Stuart and Ray Wylie Hubbard.
So as much as I was trying to avoid this festival, my close friend from Austin recently moved to Pensacola and wants to hit this up, along with 2 other buddies. Anyone trying to dump off a condo rental cuz prices are out of control at this point.
If you change your mind let me know. I may be able to get you a good deal on a 3 BR house just to the west of the fest, about a 10 minute walk. $300 a night.
I think there are are just enough bands I would go see and just enough fun stuff to occupy me while at the beach for a week to press on. I have not had anyone step forward to buy my tickets and I don't think Meyer would agree to swap condo renters. I would be interested if someone wanted to help me swap my two bedroom, sleeps 6, IWW condo to their name and responsibility and buy my two $200 each GA Tix. I checked rental rates around IWW and they are definitely double or more from renting last summer. There was a decent price on the condo just west of IWW. Pretty rowdy group there last year. I think chikinchicasaw (sp?) stayed there last year. My niece and a couple of my adopted college aged kids wont be able to commit til the last minute.

It’s unlikely, but It would be so cool if Glass Animals were added to the lineup. They just announced a show for the Brooklyn Bowl in Vegas on the 18th.
11/19: Caribou 11/22: Ranger Trucco 11/29: Armand Van Helden* 1/16: L'Impératrice 1/30: Jamie xx 2/1: DJ Seinfeld 2/7: Mild Minds* 3/1: Father John Misty* 3/19: Confidence Man 3/23: DARKSIDE 5/8: Rüfüs Du Sol
Beach bob is your racist sexist homophobic fox news grandpa except he's not actually your grandpa so you don't really have any excuse for accepting him as part of your community
So maybe think about that for a minute when he inevitably wanders back in here to rattle off daily lists of classic rockers
Looks like it. Probably due to straying from this safe space and into the political thread.
I felt like there were moments he was listening and hopefully gaining some insight. Oh well. It doesn't help when other dip shit posters call him names.
