I don't know Dvbbs, but just by the name alone, it's probably at least somewhat lame (yeah, I'm judging a book by its cover there).
Ha, just listened to Dvbbs for the first time, your judgment is correct. Weak pop music.
I'd be interested in RL Grime, I was excited to see him at Bonnaroo last year but missed him for some other act. I'm not really into trap because so much of it is junk these days, but RL Grime seems to approach the music with a strange seriousness. He's got some good songs.
Not a big Dillon Francis fan but at least he's a goofball, I imagine he would put on a big dumb fun set.
Galantis, Marshmello, Illenium are all garbage. I haven't listened to Yellowclaw but I'm assuming he's garbage. But I'll listen.
That goddamn Le Plur at Voodoo is a great stage. Loud as hell, bright as hell, big ole' field with great sound no matter where you are standing. It'd be a shame to go to Voodoo and not catch a few acts there.
Nice. I wasn't going to check anything out until the lineup came out because I didn't want to waste my time. Someone told me there is worse stuff than Dvbbs, but I'm not going to probably bother unless someone directs me to something that's good. I've seen RL Grime solo a couple of times, b2b with Baauer and under his other moniker Clockwork. All those shows were pretty good, and he hasn't disappointed me yet.
Last time I saw Dillon Francis was at Mad Decent back in the summer of 2014. He was the closeout set, and some asshole in the crowd hit him in the forehead with a can of beer. He told them, "Nice shot" though unfortunately they had to shut down the show because he needed to get stitches. Galantis is garbage and so is Marshmello as you alluded to. I was confusing Illenium with Ill Gates who is actually a tech guru. I'll take your work on him. I saw Yellow Claw a few years ago - can't remember where (Hangout, Voodoo, Buku or something). It's 2 DJ's from Holland that play Hardstyle, Dub, House and Pop. I was mildly interested for about 45 seconds but left for something else.
It's weird. There have been years when I don't bother seeing anything at all over there or just go over there to find someone I'm looking for. Then there was 2014 which had GRiZ, Barely Alive and a bunch of smaller acts (at that time) that got me over there for a few sets. I think last year I was by there for some of Excision, some of Gramatik and maybe one or 2 other sets at most. It's a great layout and all, and the sound and lights are good. But if it's kids bop like Chainsmokers, Marshmello and the like, neither me or any of my kids will even be there. Too much better shit to see. However, if C3 does the small vs. small, full time EDM and Main Stage by itself, I will probably have some point where I go over there to check something out.

I tried to listen to yellowclaw. The first time I hear one of those cruise ship type horns in any EDM I completely write off the artist.
Beware Lil Yachty. Those fucking airhorns are constant.
Kendrick is pretty good for Voodoo. I wouldn't complain there.
Kendrick would be awesome. But the question was did I whiff. And the answer was one of them, the not rock act. I'm not pushing my luck and will be satisfied with either we got that one or we got the other 3 which is even better (Nine Inch and Queens anyway with a big question mark on Green Day because I've never seen them live. I don't listen to that 3rd Wave of punk, but I am open minded. So if all 3 are there, that's perfectly fine with me. I've seen Nails once and Queens twice and would love either of those acts in any year.
Maybe? They played January and played Jazz Fest last year. I love them live here because you already know they will bring out Ivan Neville and George Porter Jr to do a 15 minute funk jam.

That's what it was, JazzFest last year and then here in January. That is a lot of RHCP for NOLA.

Question is are we going to the rail for Galantis or Mello super brotendo?
