I like Noname but it's fucking sad that they've gone from having acts like Pusha T and Killer Mike on Thursdays to acts like this
I'll give you Pusha T, but Killer Mike wasn't who he is now back then, and I like Telefone more than RAP Music
RAP Music was pretty big, not RtJ huge but it was a big deal. Made a ton of year end lists. Also it was his fifth album and if you were paying attention to rap music in the 00s you already knew who he was

Not to mention Killer Mike, booked at a festival only a few hours from Atlanta, was already a big name in southern rap and affiliated with even bigger southern rappers, OutKast.
I just have trouble looking at the top half. I said the other day that I didn't think booking costs would have a big impact, but I was probably wrong. There are just too many artists who would have made sense, even within that lineup, that are missing. Regardless of personal preference, where are MGMT, Ryan Adams, Animal Collective, Schoolboy Q, Hall n Oats, The Avalanches, Nick Murphy, St. Paul & the Broken Bones, Young the Giant, Kaytranada, etc?
For stuff lower down: No Savages? Strand of Oaks? White Denim? Thundercat? Real Estate? Maggie Rogers?
Wait damn it. I was pleasantly surprised by the full lineup (after reading through all the negative opinions before it was all posted) until I read this. How the hell did they miss out on the Avalanches? I thought it was a no brainer? Add on missing YtG, Thundercat, St. Paul. Doesn't make sense. Maybe we get something of this list as later adds? I know last year everyone was bummed about missing out on Bob Moses, who ended up being added ... but we also got Bryson Tiller lol.

2019 Shows: 4/30 - Vampire Weekend 6/28 - Father John Misty & Jason Isbell and the 400 Unit 9/6 - Cardi B w/ Teyana Taylor 9/28 - Vulfpeck w/ The Fearless Flyers
Now I'm ready to say it. RIP Bonnaroo. The one that we knew and loved is dead. It wasn't last year but it was headed in that direction. First glance at this lineup and I think for the first time this is not a lineup I would travel to see. Not even with the free street team tickets.

You guys are all worried about Bonnaroo and Rocklahoma is over here announcing it's lineup with the likes of Def Leppard, Soundgarden, The Offspring, Ratt, Jackyl, Buckcherry, Fuel, and Slaughterhouse.

Same. Wish id gone last year to see the final Bonnaroo that had a sliver of integrity
It's tough watching people get their hopes and dreams - and seemingly their souls - crushed by a music festival. My mom - bless her soul - always told me "Life is tough" and these reactions are making me realize no truer words were ever spoken.
