Well...it's not as bad as you guys were making it seem. I might actually still go. No Avalanches still hurts. Also what's the point of having U2 headline when there's not a single other artist that appeals to that demographic?

true. i hope the umphrey and chili pepper crowd know enough U2 lyrics to make it worth their time.
Someone pointed out there was not comedy and no late night indications so I'm thinking those will each be separate announcements to come later. Not saying they will save this trash but perhaps there are a couple decent names that previously would have been put out there already that are being held back for that instead. (Like "The Avalanches" would be a decent start)
Actually that might be what I'm most happy about with this lineup poster. I hated when they included comedians and other random stuff next to the artists. Like last year looking through the artists and seeing Piff the Magic Dragon.
The Avalanches as an addition would be nice but I'm not getting my hopes up. I had a feeling they'd be the "Grimes" of 2017.

I had expected the worst but this is better than that and I might go. I'm not too surprised to see Claude VonStroke since he's been popping up on a few lineups but I'm glad he's on the bill and his side project, Barclay Crenshaw will also be a good one to see.
Again, I'll be going for the people and the experience but I'm looking forward to seeing about 1/4 of this lineup with the rest of my time checking out new stuff or hanging with Roo people.
I also notice they have Lukas Nelson and Promise of the Real listed as two bands. Does Lukas play alone too or is Roo just pulling an 8th grade term paper trick and padding their word count?

I've been to every Bonnaroo but one but I won't be attending this year. I'll miss the farm and seeing friends, but this lineup couldn't be much worse for me. I love Bonnaroo but this is ugly.
I live close enough and have a free ticket, so if U2 and Lorde play on the same night I'll probably come for that, but I'm out.
As a preface to this next line, I'm pretty sure the fourth line from the bottom is the most incomprehensible collection of band names ever put on the same line of a lineup.
Turkuaz - Pretty funky. Definitely a solid act, but the kind that I would pay $5 to see at a bar crawl if I got a free beer to go along with it.
July Talk - Not even sure how to describe this. It sounds like the singer from Clutch decided to transform into Steve Buscemi's half brother, start a side project with a rejected synthpop singer and kinda just went crazy. Her voice is brutal. Not in a good way.
