There are a few decent acts on here - but absolutely nothing that you couldn't catch at a different festival with a much better lineup. Good job, Bonnaroo - you're Firefly now.

I actually would see every name on the top two lines. But after that it's ugly.
Future Islands is fine. Umphrees McGee looks like it got drunk and wound up on the wrong lineup. Tegan & Sara is fine. I like that one Milky Chance song. Royal Blood is good but I've already seen them at Bonnaroo in a better year. Car Seat Headrest and Michael Kiwanuka! Positives! That line 10. Wow. It's like a reminder that the line-up sucks in case you started to forget after line 9. Flatbush Zombies, Claude VonStroke, Francis & the Lights and BBNG are solid, but surrounded by names I've never heard of or don't like. Crazy how low the Bluegrass Superjam is. Kinda shows the shift in priorities. And NoName fittingly rounds out the list of names I know and/or care about.
Honestly, there are acts that I want to see here. But I don't care about U2, and the line-ups general aesthetic is for people 8 years younger than me (27). Will there be a single person excited for Marshmello, Tory Lanez AND U2?
It's the worst line-up Bonnaroo has ever had, because it betrays everything that Bonnaroo used to be and that's never happened before. It was going to be a challenge to attend this year anyway, so at least I'll save money. But it hurts a little still.
I was listening to a playlist on the way to work and realized that a huge chunk of the music I love was introduced to me by Bonnaroo, and that Bonnaroo straight up does not exist anymore.
Just bought a ticket...I can't complain bc I planned on seeing U2 already this summer and their headlining tickets are $200 for lower bowl. I can say I'm actually excited to see the following:
U2 RHCP Weeknd Major Lazer Flume Lorde The xx Cage Head and the Heart Big G Glass Animals Future Islands!!! Tove Lo Crystal Castles Tegan & Sara Milky Chance Cold War Kids Kaleo Royal Blood The Strumbellas Dua Lipa Claude VanStroke Francis & The Lights The Front Bottoms Bad Suns Coin Rezz Deap Vally The Orwells Mondo Cozmo July Talk
So it is Lollapalooza of the South with camping now. It's not great but change was bound to happen I guess.
With all the EDM I am thinking Major Lazer gets a What Stage spot like Deadmau5 did. While I don't totally agree with this I think it has to be done with the amount on the lineup and their past shows, or Coachella last year, crowds being massive.
So many negative people... man... its about the life changing experience too.... not just the band's man... I hope all the people that are complaining are NOT going... we don't need that negative attitude on the farm!!! I'm excited for this!!! 🤘
Yikes. Might have to head back to Barcelona for Primavera again
LOL there was never going to be a contest there. Bonnaroo isn't even in the same ballpark as Primavera. It's like saying "man, this McDonald's tastes like shit. Might have to head back to Le Cirque."
Agreed. I was just hoping for a decent lineup out of Bonnaroo so I could avoid the airfare cost that comes along with Primavera

lollapalooza has never had a lineup this bad.
Even though they have a ton to appeal to the kids they have always kept some of their alt-rock roots
Damn, cant believe all the hate. This lineup is amazing. *Maybe* a few people hating messed around and got old. This coming from someone that went when Bonaroo was "new" and String Cheese and Widespread Panic headlined. Music evolves and things change. Big G live at the farm is gonna be awesome
Turkuaz - Pretty funky. Definitely a solid act, but the kind that I would pay $5 to see at a bar crawl if I got a free beer to go along with it.
Turquaz should be a late night show - they are fantastic live. It would be a great alternative to what will surely be an EDM ghetto from midnight - dawn
It looks like they trimmed the fat and essentially got rid of all the critically praised, yet under attended sets. It makes sense from a business aspect to replace acts like Nick Cave, Damon Albarn, (insert world music act), and replace them with acts like Tegan & Sara, Marshmello, and Tove Lo, which they know will all be packed.
"Year of the dubstep mosh pit" ft OOkay, Yellow Claw, Borgore, Getter, Snails. But don't worry, after those mosh pits Major Lazer will have you running from one side of the field to the other as you take your shirts off and stand on one leg.
Fucking nailed it. I'm surprised they didn't book JackU 2 years too late, like they usually do.
