Whether it's your first Bonnaroo or you’re a music festival veteran, we welcome you to Inforoo.
Here you'll find info about artists, rumors, camping tips, and the infamous Roo Clues. Have a look around then create an account and join in the fun. See you at Bonnaroo!!
This is the first message board I've ever been on, the only reason I joined is because I love Bonnaroo and wanted to read and talk about it all year long.

Finally had a chance to go through the full lineup. There are 22 acts that I absolutely want to see and another 26 that I was secondarily into (things I liked and would catch if there wasn't a conflict). This doesn't count about 20 electronic artists that I didn't bother with because, well, if I need EDM at Bonnaroo in 2017, I'm sure I'll be able to walk up to something that sounds fine.
I'm feeling good about the acts I want to see, no doubt. I'll have a normally packed schedule through the weekend. With that said, the lineup definitely deserves criticism for a lack of legacy, metal, psych rock and hip-hop acts. It also just doesn't feel like a Bonnaroo lineup.
This was a good year to win tickets...not sure I would've been there otherwise.

Dig more. I'm at 73 must see's, 19 i'm feeling, and 8 I'll see if nothing else is on.
Still down a little bit, but it's enough to get me there.
I'm goin regardless but the schedule could take this lineup from pretty bad to flat out worthless if there are bad conflicts. I'm hoping (because I'm literally passing on all edm besides Flume, Big G, and Claude) that I won't have too many issues there. I'm just really hoping I don't have to pick and choose between acts like The XX, Chance, Umph, Lorde, Future Islands, Royal Blood, Rainbow Kitten Surprise, and Glass Animals. Those are the undercard acts I'm legitimately excited to see. If I can see the headliners, those undercard acts without conflict, and then just fill in the rest I'll be happy for the weekend.

I thought your goal was to troll Launchy? Are you going to spend the rest of your days doing this? Are you having a blast? God, I hope so.

Just some thoughts, I feel like Lorde, the xx, and Chance are all pre-HL. Could be on What, could be Which closers or even Which LN. It seems unlikely to me they would conflict. Rainbow Kitten Surprise feels like the only Thursday band on your list, so they should be fine, but UM and Glass Animals could be either tent closers or LN tents, so there could definitely be conflicts there. Maybe Glass Animals could even be on a stage at this point? I don't know anything about Future Islands so I can't comment on them.
Short version is I think on that list you'll have some conflicts, but hopefully not a total clusterfcuk.
That's what I was hoping for. My worry would be if The XX is LN Which vs Umph or something. That's eliminating 2 acts I'm pumped to see, both at night with full lighting displays and everything. I get the feeling I won't be going in very early this year at all given the lineup but there's nothing wrong with that. Give me a few undercards before the HLers and a late night option and I'm good.

Remember when a clustufuck meant having to choose between Cut Copy, James Blake, and Laurn Hill? Or Vampire Weekend, NMH, Animals as Leaders, Phoenix, Kanye, Speedy Ortiz, Mastodon, Ice Cube, Derek Trucks, and Disclosure? It makes conflicts in this scenario a bit more tolerable, especially knowing the top three names referenced won't conflict because they're preheadlining.

yep, I think last year was the first year there wasn't a crazy amount of complaining about conflicts, other then me and a few of my fellow mouth breathing neckbeards grumbling about Ween overlapping Dead & Co. by 15 minutes. Unfortunately this lack of complaining was due to the bad lineup, not Bonnaroo suddenly implementing an enlightened scheduling strategy.
i think the fear for 2017 is, as Zaitch put it, the lineup could go from bad to worthless if there are even a couple bad conflicts. Whereas in prior years you could have several bad conflicts and still see a significant amount of great music.

This is essentially why I stopped going. In 2015 it was bad enough that Flying Lotus and Deadmau5 conflicted on Friday night. But then they when and grouped Jamie xx, Sturgill, Belle & Sebastian, Gary Clark Jr., Atomic Bomb, , SBTRKT, and MMJ the next day. You know, all the good shit. Resulting in a long, unnecessary wait for Caribou on Sunday.

2015 was my least favorite Bonnaroo. I still had a blast, but the scheduling was abhorrent. I just drove home Sunday morning, Caribou was literally the only act I wanted to see, but I preferred the idea of getting home in time to watch GoT with my wife above sitting around all day waiting for a Caribou set.

Caribou and then GoT screening was the way to go that year. Was kinda fun watching the GoT finale with a big group. Caribou was in my top 3 that year, behind only FlyLo and Atomic Bomb.

That really was a nightmare of conflicts. I picked Belle and Sebastian and headed to MMJ late. Sunday was awful...I went in early for Pokey LaFarge and didn't return until Caribou.

I ended up picking Jamie xx, since I knew I'd have plenty of opportunities to see Sturgill in Texas. Jamie was one of the mist fun sets for me that year. MMJ over Atomic Bomb for the follow up was my biggest mistake that year. Sunday I caught a nice set from The Punch Brothers at The Grove, Spoon, and Caribou, so it wasn't a total loss. I would have enjoyed Florence too, but chose the less packed Other Tent option of Caribou. No ragrets there.
Starting that Sunday with TOP>AWOL Nation, then closing with Billy fucking Joel. Mmmm baby that's the good shit.
No. Then yes and yes.
I started my Sunday at Roo '15 at This Tent, watching a guy play with broken equipment, who told the crowd he had to leave the fest immediately after his set to attend barber school in Arkansas the next morning.
