Had to have been between 5-8 mill, right?
Pretty high I'd imagine. Fleetwood would command a similar price tag. RHCP probably costs the same if not more than FF. Drake and The Weeknd are likely around the same as well.

This sounds more correct than 5-8. The Desert Trip acts got 7 per weekend right? And I thought that was supposed to be an overpay because it was a festival and such.

Maybe I'm in the minority on this but I've not been into Childish Gambino at all. I want to be but everything of his I listen to (and saw in 2015) does absolutely nothing for me.
A question: people keep talking about Childish Gambino as a potential headliner but I thought that he was done with that?

Nobody is shelling out money to book Childish Gambino. He's already played the festival, what, three times in the last six years or so. He's played every festival and won't be a "get" anytime in the next few years.
What EDM garbage would be #4-6? Can't think of anyone that would be that high except maybe the Chainsmokers.
Didn't think Marshmallow would be there before the lineup dropped this year, so no telling what type of shit they have in store.
Marshmello was #11. Still shouldn't have been 3rd line of course but he wasn't that high up. If they're going to have EDM in the top 6 or so I can't imagine who it'd be unless they get Kygo, which I wouldn't mind.

Oh I absolutely think he has a ways to go to headline 'Roo. I was more just referencin' the whole "he's done with tourin' and will only do one more album." Yeah, he's crazy busy the next couple years with TV/movies, but to say it's all over?

I only really like the new album. Was never my thing as a rapper, although I enjoyed his Boston Calling show in 2014.
What other repeats could you guys see/would you want coming back? I know Fleetwood Mac seems like a saving grace at this point, but we all know how that goes.
FF - Jay-Z - AF would make for a solid top 3, but I could also see them ending ending up with someone like The Killers or KOL again.
Are bands like ZBB or DMB still welcome here? This fest was booked similar to ACL in the past (way better actually), it's not like they're two far removed from going back to a similar model next year.

Yeah if that's the case then I couldn't see U2 getting more than 6, but I don't remember where I heard 4 from. And FM surely couldn't cost more than The Stones

One of my greatest sacrifices was leaving ACL '13 early after Willis Earl Beale (he was absolutely great, but I would have seen The Stooges in retrospect) only to give my wristband to a crazed Chili Pepper teen outside the gates. What did I care? I'd already seen Neil & Crazy horse the night before. I heard the Peppers drummer played with Avetts earlier that day. They shared the same producer, after all. Fuck those guys.
