Vance Joy - MGMT - Nick Murphy - RuPaul - Liam Gallagher - Dillon Francis
...just enough jam/kitsch/alt to return roo to what it was, i think?
Haha! I think RuPaul's days of performing are few and far between anymore, pretty sure he only does drag for the RPDR now. But.. that being said... I'd fucking love to see some other queens booked for comedy. Bianca Del Rio, Bob the Drag Queen, Alaska Thunderfuck, Sharon Needles... all would be very very welcome for me lol.
Serious question. Who would be more of a draw as a legacy act at Roo? Foo Fighters or Fleetwood Mac. I'm not asking about whose better or can sell out a tour faster. Just if either replaced U2 this year, who would have had the bigger crowd.

Seeing FM at Roo would be great. I haven't seen them since Christine re-joined them on the road. I'd much rather seem them at any fest than pay $250 for an arena ticket

I just asked a colleague that is newly graduated which she thought you sell more tickets Fleetwood Mac vs. Foo Fighters and her response was "Definitely Fleetwood Mac, I'd go see that, something about seeing Fleetwood Mac in a giant open field just feels right". Can't say I disagree with that notion.
I think the comparison is a bit odd too because I don't think it's necessarily an either/or situation. Fleetwood Mac could take the "U2 spot" as a legacy act and Foo Fighters could take the "RHCP spot" as a seasoned rock band that isn't necessarily considered "legacy" yet. As much as I would love to see Fleetwood Mac & Arcade Fire at #1 & 2, I could definitely see Roo booking Fleetwood & Foo Fighters.

That's an interesting thought and probably true. Didn't even consider that. Something in line with,
Fleetwood Mac - Drake - Foo Fighters - Lana Del Rey
Although Foos at 3 sounds weird to me for some reason.

That's probably way too stacked of a top 3 unless they decide they want the undercard to suffer more.

Yeah, I was thinking something like
Fleetwood Mac - Foo Fighters - Vampire Weekend (if they drop a new album)- Lana Del Rey - Future
I've really outgrown Foo Fighters the last few years. Nothing they've put out this decade has really been anything to write home about. Wasting Light was alright and I really enjoyed the documentary they put out alongside it's release, but Sonic Highways(?) didn't have a single track that I kept in my playlist rotation. That being said I still consider Dave to be one of the coolest guys in music and he puts everything he's got into their live shows. The fucker broke his leg in the middle of a show and had the cast applied while he continued performing, fucking crazy.

EDM garbage sucks especially when billed that high but I would actually be pretty pleased with this. I'd prefer Arcade Fire to FF but eh, FF are alright too. Not big on Future myself, I'd gladly see everyone else though.

See, maybe it's just because AF is more recent for me, I'm tired of them and not excited for a new tour at all. My deal with Foos is I skimmed through everything after growing bored with In Your Honor. One by One and that Orange County single is where it all shifted. Blame QOTSA.
TINLTL was the last great FF album imo. Their first three albums were some of my favorites growing up. Maybe I'm just nostalgic at this point, but I can deal with some of their new stuff (and the radio hits) if it means potentially experiencing songs like This is a Call, Stacked Actors, For all the Cows, and Aurora again.

TINLTL is the last foo fighters album I bought. I saw them headline beale street music fest on that tour and thought it was cool as shiz that grohl climbed the stage rigging and played the solo for stacked actors hanging upside down from the top of the stage.

I've never been able to get into Foos, while I can appreciate the genuineness of what they do. The new AF songs are so anthemic, I'd love to hear them live mixed with the songs from Reflektor, which I've never seen performed in person.
