Oh a completely unreleated note: I'm seeing Todd Terje live tonight at Mamby on the Beach in Chicago and it's thanks to everyone in here talking about him a lot over the years and how good of a show it is.
How did you like it?
I could see him only once, couple of years ago at Coachella, and it was a very entertaining set.
Absolutely fantastic. everyone and I mean EVERYONE was dancing. My girlfriend, who hadn't heard of him until earlier in the day when I was playing some music on Spotify, said it was her favorite set of the weekend. I can't fathom why any festival wouldn't be out there trying to book him, I would need to hear their reasoning why they wouldn't want him to perform.

They've been touring off their last album for two years right? I seriously hope they're taking a break next year.
Hypothetically if we got Fleetwood Mac, Foo Fighters, and Jay Z as our headliners, would Gorillaz be too much at #4? I probably shouldn't be getting too excited anyways.
Hypothetically, if you want GA tickets to cost as much as VIP tickets, then sure.

That top three is a little more expensive than this year's, probably, but I wouldn't think it would be by a whole lot. Gorillaz are five at ACL. I assume you're exaggerating a bit, but it wouldn't cost them that much more.
I wasn't in the best state, but I specifically remember daylight during parts of that set.
I googled it and sunset was 8 PM on the dot, so..
You don't have to google, just take my word. The sunset is probably why sunlight was still being emitted. Certain images were cemented in my brain including the sun's presence during certain parts. Really no need to contest it.

ACL also gets 5-6 acts that are basically headliners since they have two stages that both serve as 'main stages'. I'd be surprised to see Gorillaz on the Roo lineup as a 4 (I couldn't see them doing a Pre-HL set), but yeah I suppose its not totally out of the question.

Fleetwood - Foofs - Killers - Future Garrix - Avetts - MMJ - Lumineers - The Shins Odesza - Porter Robinson - Run the Jewels - Of Monsters and Men
What's with people making mocks that are both bad AND unrealistic? That string of Avetts through The Shins isn't happening. I'd guess we get one of those at most. ODESZA will be higher, above Lumineers or The Shins. Also don't see them going back to three "rock" headliners

1 of the three headliners everyone keeps pushing, 1 folk rock act, the shins, meme rap, bad edm - is the way I've been looking at it. Might as well load up the mocks with acts you don't want to see instead.
Edit: though it's nice people are more grounded in their picks this year even if wrong

I don't think they would have the Killers and FF, personally. I think they will try to include a classic act to try to preserve their former self in some way.
Plus, if you turn the lights off and post The Killers 5x in the mirror, they will play your festival. Be careful.

Well the only #1 spots anyone is coming up with are Fleetwood and Jay-Z and I don't think that Jay-Z could take up a #2 spot. I also couldn't see the Foos taking up a #3 spot nor a #1 spot. So IMO it's some sort of Fleetwood/Jay-Z - Foos - Killers/Muse/garbage EDM/rap. I do think Fleetwood - Foos - Killers is probably too many guitars so that's why I have Jay-Z on my mocks. #4 will also probably be garbage edm/rap/21pilots.

The past few years as had something along the lines as a legacy act as a headliner so until it finally happens I'd still think they would book a Fleetwood Mac or Roger Waters or someone like that. And if RHCP wasn't one then FF isn't considered one either.

It really all depends on who 2 and 3 are, right?
That's in regards to the legacy act but I know what you mean. However, even if U2 wasn't there, would people have considered RHCP as the "old school" legacy act? Seems like a stretch when you are putting them up against Dead & Co, Billie Joel, Elton John, Paul McCartney, Phish, Widespread Panic, Stevie Wonder.
But we are getting older so eventually FF and RHCP will be in that category at some point I guess.

Are these really considered legacy acts though? RHCP is just as old as Phish and WSP were formed three years after.

I'm pretty sure that the Chili Peppers and Phish have been around for the same amount of time. And Panic is more recent. And RHCP have been commercially successful for much longer than both, IMO.
