Way early obviously, but with a new album coming this year, I think Lana would make a lot of sense as #4. I'm not really fan, but I'd prefer her to some other options.
Also, Arcade Fire really seems like a strong contender as the #2. If they're touring from April 2017- April 2019, the only time they could play bonnaroo is next year. And it'll be 7 years between appearances.

I was just coming to say something along these lines. Arcade Fire at 2. 1 will be somebody huge a la Fleetwood Mac, Eagles, or GnR (possibly why there's been no word on the show at the site). It would be cool if we got Gorillaz at 3 since I'd say they will be at Coachella next year. Lana at 4 and Future at 5! I'd almost want to ignore the shitty undercard they are bound to get for that.

Definitely, I think this is probably the best we could get next year and Fleetwood Mac, Gorillaz, and even Fleet Foxes are total longshots at best.
Fleetwood Mac | Arcade Fire | Gorillaz | Lana Del Rey Fleet Foxes | Kygo | A$AP Rocky | Alt-J | Odesza St. Vincent | Dillon Francis | FKA twigs | Zhu Edward Sharpe & the Magnetic Zeroes ScHoolboy Q | Charli XCX | Interpol | Joey Badass The Disco Biscuits | Kehlani | Courtney Barnett
I have close to no faith that we'd get any of the good acts here. This is NOT a prediction, just a hypothetical top 20 because I'm bored as hell.

You will recall that Robin Pecknold said he doesn't want Fleet Foxes to play Bonnaroo. Obviously enough money can change someone's mind, but for the time being I'd consider the chances of them playing as pretty close to 0%. Also I'd imagine some hip-hop (Future) in the top 5 is necessary.

He did? Damn. Can't say I'm too surprised though. Yeah, I put Rocky way up there because I figure he'll put out a new album sometime in the next year or so, but Future is probably more likely. Or both.
From someone who used to hold out a lot of hope....
The only way we will see Gorillaz next year is if, AC/e selling their full stake is actually a way to allow LiveNation to fall on it's face and hire AC/e-Superfly at a higher rate for booking on a business level. Yes. I'm saying they sold their shares to watch a fall out and step in with a better proposal if asked/if obvious. Otherwise expect something closer to a Live Nation #1 artist as 1/2 | Upcoming Artists with no reason to be so high 3/4
Question is, how many tickets they sell? Question is, do they attract a paying audience? (it matters if vendors, get paid out well enough to do Bonnaroo or not) Question is, does anyone actually care about U2? vs. a year of oddly collective festivals in the US? vs. every major festival having a better top 4...
Can't Answer This Until June But

Fleetwood Mac - Drake - Foo Fighters and a far better middle of the line-up selection
I'm going to go against the grain, be an optimist, and say that after 3 consecutive weak Bonnaroo's under the Live Nation banner (at least partially in 2015) that the festival gets back on track with a stronger and generally more appealing 2018 edition.

booking 3 #1's would not help the undercard lol
Have booking costs skyrocketed the last couple of years to the point where this is out of reach? I know I was spoiled going to Bonnaroo's 2009 through 2014 but those were years with solid top 3-5 plus killer undercards
