De La Rocha has that solo album next year. We're a few years away from a return, unfortunately.
Damn your right. Would like to think he maybe gets the solo booking, but doesn't seem like a Live Nation type of grab.
Besides the reunion gig, he did Coachella with One Day as a Lion and did a guest spot with RTJ. He will probably end up there. While the rest of the band weren't beneath using Live Nation for profit, I just can't see Zack getting into the mix. One-offs like they did at the Coliseum will probably be the only way to catch Rage anytime soon.

I could definitely see them playing Coachella sometime in the next couple years. Probably not Roo, but I'd never say never.

If they're behind Chance, The Killers and Muse at Lolla this year, they'd be behind Foo Fighters and Jay-Z. They'd be behind the top 3 of this year's Roo, as well. This new album may do pretty well for them, but there's no reason to think that it will give them a wider appeal than The Suburbs or even Reflektor.

I was assuming that comment was sarcastic and intended to show Calvin Harris might be booked outside the top 3 next year, in which case it would still be wrong.
Throughout the years, we've endured a fair amount of criticism for being willing to change. But that change, I would argue, is at the heart and soul of the Bonnaroo aesthetic, and being open to embracing new trends in the worlds of music. We want to keep our finger on the pulse of who our audience is, and what they're interested in,” Capps said. “And the change is going on all around us. Let's face it. The people who came to Bonnaroo in 2002, many of them are married with families, and they've changed too. To stay fresh and vital, one has to be open to change. It's the only constant, as the cliche goes.

"So I'm just gonna stay fresh and sell this shit to Live Nation - the ultimate trend setter."

Edit: guessing Grizzly Bear and The War on Drugs will be in Europe at the time.

I would think/hope they'd avoid booking two of the same headliners they had in 2011. Also Alabama Shakes will probably be top 6/7 next time they play.

For the first time I can't think of a realistic lineup that would make me go back to Bonnaroo. Anything I come up with seems wildly unlikely. Like it would have to be some Beyonce / Nine Inch Nails / Phish kind of shit for me to make the trip. I'm focused on the headliners because there isn't a universe in the multiverse where Bonnaroo 2018 has an undercard that isn't 85% trash.
This has been the shitty realization for me. I have no reason to ever attend again. The old lineups warranted the money/effort spent. There's nothing they could realistically book at this point (outside of a 10-14 stacked lineup, which will never materialize) that could get me back.
