You'd go back for one band? What's if it's like this year plus NY?
If he was playing instead of U2 I would grab a day pass and then bum around Nashville for the weekend. My expectations for the fest would be totally different, but their 2003 set was a big deal for me and I'd like to relive that.
Then again, if C3 also booked NYCH for Lolla (also very unlikely) I'd probably just do that.
Roger Waters - JT - Drake - Disclosure - Tame Impala - MMJ
could get me back. But I'd also need flights, an RV rental, tickets, time off from work and a sitter for 4.5 days. Oh and $4-500 for food booze merch and "fun"

Big committment
They could have no undercard and I would go to this

Id be thrilled to have Drake if it meant the rest looked like that. If they through the $ out for U2 then I think anyone is possible at this point.
Attendence was definitely back up to 75-80k this year with a much younger crowd, never met so many first timers. The majority of the crowd I encountered was still very nice as always, nothing to really complain about. The only thing that felt odd was the lack of options past 3am. It was so weird having shows end and the only options were the Silent Disco and Barn and the lines for those were insanely long. But I guess it was good to get decent sleep. RIP sunrise sets.
I feel like this year, with the upgrades to Which, the Other, the tents and the rest of the grounds I feel like it was Bonnaroo really attempting to bounce back from last years downfall and show why Roo remains a top tier fest.
Nothing to really complain about except for CenteRoo feeling really crowded at times and all the confusion entering the campgrounds Wednesday.
I'd expect good things for next year. Overall fantastic Bonnaroo. 9/10 overall.
Top 5. 1. Chance (holy shit) 2. Flume 3. Glass Animals 4. Big G 5. G Jones
You need more shitty edm I've never heard of before.
This is my exact criticism. Remove some names and add Hauntly, Trofburger, HHIUZ, Stivin Corn, Thugbutter, and Boofmonster and it starts looking more realistic.

All the reports I have seen so far are saying 65K. Of course the spin on attendence will be positive (43% increase, blah, blah, blah) but the fact of the matter is that in the pre-2016 years, attendance at a minimum was 75K.
If they're wanting to retain the new crowd, they'll probably want to bring in acts like Jay-Z, Frank Ocean, and Bassnectar for some of the top names. Probably another 'safe' act that young people will still be familiar with, and that some older folks would be interested in (equivalent to RHCP). Maybe Gorrilaz could fill that slot, but it'd probably be someone like The Killers. It'd be cool to see them pursue another big/unique booking like U2 (cough* Fleetwood Mac *cough), but I know better than to expect that.
Realistically, a top line of: Jay-Z - Frank Ocean - The Killers/Gorillaz - Bassnectar
W/ one or two more decently big EDM acts (e.g., pretty lights), a bunch of 'relevant', mostly generic EDM, a mix of cheesy (e.g., Kyle, Yachty) and solid hip-hop acts (e.g., Young Thug, RTJ), + some predictable indie stuff like Young the Giant & Mac Demarco (maybe 1 or 2 interesting indie acts e.g., The National)
...
Would be enough to probably retain this year's numbers at least. Bring in a little more interesting stuff and numbers can probably go back to 70k+. They really just need to master new direction since it seems like it may actually work out for them.
By the way, this weekend was a total blast. Was skeptical of course but left feeling, as always, like I'll be back again very soon.

I really hope Bonnaroo can find a nice mix of this next year. You can still make a shit ton of money by appealing to both crowds.

For the record, consider the names Thugbutter and Boofmonster trademarked for my future DJ names.
