IU's defense has gotten a lot better in recent years. Not that they'll win or anything though
Man, was I shocked when I went to bed at half time last night and then saw the score this morning. Ohio St finally woke up. I still don't think they're a top 4 team.

To be fair, your top 4 are Clemson, clemson, Clemson, and Clemson.

Well, we are the defending champions. But nah it's probably Bama, USC, Penn St, Clemson or FSU. Oklahoma, Washington and Ohio St on the outside, with a chance to get in there.

Not that I'm questioning your ranking because I feel you're being pretty reasonable, but how has the quarterback situation been going for Clemson? Putting in a new guy is always an ordeal. Tennessee seems to be going with quarterback by committee which is terrifying.

I've been worried about it all summer. Our qb hasn't played much and when he has played he hasn't thrown the ball. So it's a big unknown. But then I look at past teams that have made it to the playoff and championship game. You don't have to have a great qb. You don't have to have a Deshaun Watson. 2 of the 4 teams last year had qbs that are not great throwing the ball. The guy that is currently the starter is a great runner. He has a great offensive line and tons of talent around him. But mainly our defense is going to be dominant and win lots of games. If he does struggle there are 2 highly rated fr qbs waiting to get their shot. Long story short, we're going to be fine.
My biggest take away from Clemson right now is we're faster across the board. Bryant is faster than Watson, the rbs are all faster than Gallman. The wrs are faster. We have a huge TE that can run. Also our D-line is huge and fast but everyone knew that already.
Are you fucking kidding me? A flag for a DIVE ON A TD?!
I hate that. I like what Clemson is doing when they score, stretching their arms like they're crossing the finish line. If they get a penalty for that this year I'll riot.
Texas/Maryland has turned out to be a good game. Be borderline shocked if UF beat Michigan.
Neither was taking the Longhorns in the pick-'em....
Never pick Maryland. They use to sneak up some teams when they were in the ACC though. When are we going to quit believing the talk every year that Texas is back?

Yeah. There's no part of me that wants to go back and pick Maryland. I just wanna move it down a place or two.

I only had it at 3 anyway.
I didn't know how a pick-em worked so I think I fucked the picks.
I have LSU at 1 confidence point, Bama at 2, Texas at 3, Penn State at 4, USC at 5, Cal at 6, ND at 7, NC state at 8, Louisville at 9, Michigan at 10.
Think I'll do better next week now that I know how this shit works. If NCSU beats SCar I'll be happy.

Also, for those that didn't watch it, Florida-Michigan wasn't nearly as close as the score would make you think. I'll be interested to see how they bounce back when they get some of their ten suspended players back. Your offense is going to take a dip when you lose your top running back and wide receiver the week before the first game. I know the defensive players were all depth guys, but the lack of depth started to show down the stretch.
Defense only allowed 78 total yards. Against a triple option offense, that's impressive. Offense needs some tightening up, Stidham was rusty (not playing a full game for 2 years will do that to you) but otherwise a solid night. I hope Kerryon Johnson is ok.
Getting our starting running back and probably best receiver back for Clemson will be big.
